KEY LEARNINGSDuring this internship, the main things I learned were:

4

• Time management plays a large

role in project completion

• It’s good to get to know your team,

to foster better communication.

• When working to complete a project,

it’s important to incorporate your team.

• Communication is a huge aspect of the

job, regardless of the department.

RECOMMENDATIONSFuture interns will thank you for the following changes:

• See about completing any Ethics, Environmental Health and Safety, and

HR mandated training early on.

• Please get all of the charge codes an intern will ever need, to them early

on.

• If possible, see about getting a calendar together with all intern events

listed, and try to get this calendar to them early on.

5

• Work to limit the impact of

INROADS and their events on

interns and their time tables.

NEXT STEPSFollowing the end of my internship, I plan to:

• Go back to A&T and finish out my Bachelor’s degree, and possibly

double major with Engineering Physics.

6

• Be inducted into Pi Tau

Sigma(Mechanical Engineering

honor society), and increase my

involvement in NSBE, ASME, and

EWB.

• Apply to M.I.T. for my Master’s

degree and Ph.D. in Mechanical

Engineering.

• Use my education to go into the

field of engineering research.

Someday work in an engineering

company’s research department
