Lord, hold our troops and first

...a note from your

Parish Administrator

Dear Parishioners,

- It is almost time for our young people to return to

school. We wish them the best for a new year of

learning. This means it is also time to sign up for

CCD/Faith Formation classes. Please see Ellen Con-

lon, DRE after the 10am mass or contact her at the

parish office to sign up your child for the upcoming

year.

- I want to also say good luck to those who will be

returning to or beginning college. May God Bless you

in your studies.

- The Four Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and

John all contain the deeds and teachings of Jesus. The

Gospel this week drawn from Luke relates the impor-

tance of striving to enter the narrow gate to Heaven.

Jesus received many questions from those around him

about how to reach the eternal paradise. He makes a

loving but firm point that it is not easy and is some-

thing that can be accomplished only with God's help.

When we profess our faith and our commitment to

live as Catholics filled with the Holy Spirit, we are

allowing God's will to work in and through us. This

week, let us focus on how Jesus is the way to the

Heavenly Father, the truth of Scripture, and eternal

life.

Have a good week!

Fr. Chris
