Welcome to the Rotary District 7120 Youth Exchange Program.
Our Goal’s for the 2013-2014 YearMake it so you have a very successful year as a
Youth Exchange Ambassador.
Insure that Rotary and United States Department of State rules are followed so the neither the exchange students or the program have any problems which could hurt a student’s year or the program.
Introduction & Goals
Help you to have “The Year of a Lifetime”.
Have a year where no student’s get sent home early.
Be an example as an Exchange Student so more clubs will want to host next year.

Expectations for AllInbound Exchange Ambassadors
Adapt to your host families:Fit in an become a part of the familyLearn English and communicate in EnglishHonestly and openly communicate with your
host familyLet your host family know what you are doing,
where you are going and when you will be returning.
Go over the first night questions with your host family.
Abide by the rules of the home.Do Not hide away in your room, stay out with
and be active with your host family.Limit your time on the computer and texting.
Expectations for AllInbound Exchange Ambassadors
Attend school (Mandatory) and to be the best student you can possibly be. You must be making an honest effort in school.
Be respectful to all Rotarians, Host Families, Teachers, and other students.
NO SMOKING!!! – In checking all of your applications you all checked that you do not smoke so there will be no smoking for the year.

4 D’s : No Drinking, No Driving, No Drugs & No Dating.
Choose your friends wisely.
Obey all Rules of the Rotary District 7120 Youth Exchange Program. Do not try to get rules changed to fit your needs. If you have a question on or about a rules ask it before you do anything, not after you have a problem.
Expectations for AllInbound Exchange Ambassadors
Participate in Rotary, Community and School Activities. Be an active member of your new community.
Working – You cannot hold a job while here on exchange.
Cell phones – It is not the responsibility of your host family or Rotary to provide you with a cell phone. If your cell phone does provide a cell phone you should pay the monthly bill for that phone.
Expectations for All Inbound Youth Ambassadors

Email:In ENGLISH!!!Limit your communication with your friends
back home, it will slow down your ability to learn the language here and your adapting to living here. And when you do in ENGLISH – let them use a translator program.
Keep emails positive.
Expectations for AllInbound Youth Ambassadors
No travel outside the Rotary District without supervision by an approved adult with a background check.
No overnight travel outside the Rotary District without filing a permission to travel form 2 weeks in advance.
No travel at the end of the year prior to going home. We are required to send directly home from the airport of which you arrived.
