Path #1 – INDIVIDUAL PROJECT
Step #1 – A Political Speech Write a speech which you, the politician,
speak to your people about what kind of ruler you will be You MUST include five aspects of a
Machiavellian ruler Remember your audience and purpose…this is
a speech, so make sure you greet your audience to begin and make your writing as exciting and enthusiastic as possible to charm the crowd
The speech must be 3/4ths to 1 page long
Path #1 – INDIVIDUAL PROJECT
Step #2 – A Campaign Poster Design a campaign poster which advertises your
candidacy for political power You MUST include THREE aspects of Machiavellian
rulers which are either printed or drawn out on poster Remember to include your NAME on the poster…you
can make up the political office you are running for Including color makes these posters look MUCH
better…you are encouraged to use the classroom markers

Path #2 – GROUP PROJECTGroups – FOUR to FIVE People (no more, no less)
Political Advertisement Prepare and film a political advertisement for a
candidate in the Machiavellian model Commercial must include THREE points about the candidate’s
leadership style These five points will be related to Machiavelli’s tips for being an
effective PRINCE or ruler Advertisement will be filmed by video camera by Mr. Osborne Project should last around one minute long You MUST prepare a script as a group before Mr. Osborne

they are politician, narrator, testimony giver, etc. Feel free to include different segments (ex: politician
