VETERAN’S DONATION BOXWe are once again collecting items for the
Prescott VA Hospital for Christmas.Please donate items such as NEW clothing,
toiletries, puzzle books, etc. There is a list of itemsneeded on the table in the lobby. The donation boxesare under the table in the lobby and there are boxesin the dining room near the H.O.P.E.S. room.

I hope everyone had a great time at our Charity Ball. Thankyou to those who joined us for an evening of dancing and fun.Congratulations to our raffle basket and auction winners.
Welcome Fall! With fall comes our Children's HalloweenCarnival scheduled for Wednesday, October 27th. There is avolunteer sheet on the table to the right as you walk in throughthe main door. We need all the help we can get for this affair.We will also need candies and little toys and odds and end stuffto hand out for prizes. We will serve up to around 200 childrenthroughout the night. The children of Payson look forward tothis every year. It's a safe place to come and have fun and toreceive Halloween candy. Please sign up, we can not do itwithout your help. You can dress up for the carnival, but it is notmandatory.
On November 11th we will have our annual Veteran's DayDinner. Details to follow.
In the next three months we will have quite a few activitiesbeing held at our Lodge for the holidays. Please, if you arewanting to host an event or have a special party come see me orour Lodge Secretary, Kim Riley, and it will be presented to theHouse Committee. We will try to fit your event into our Lodgecalendar if possible.

Friday, 9/10 Payson Elks Lodge 2154 donated $1,000 toPayson Community Kids (PCK). PCK is a non-profitorganization that supports children during after-schoolhours with meals and social activities for low-incomefamilies and their children. The money will be used tohelp support their programs. Accepting the check wasSuzy Tubbs, President and Dana Ashton, Treasurer.

Thisprotects our non-profit status and liquor license. If you fail tohave it with you when entering the building you may be askedto leave. Please use your card to open the door instead ofringing the buzzer. The bartender may be very busy withcustomers.
