It is never easy to embrace change and even harder when that change could potentially affect the people we love and care for. I want to thank each and every family member, team member, loved one and guest of Emeritus at Tanque Verde who has welcomed me and allowed me the opportunity to be a part of your lives and part of your change. I hope you have all enjoyed the changes and look forward to more. We have added three very valued team members to our team here at Tanque Verde, and I would love for you all to stop by and meet them. Deb Rossi is now acting as our Community Relations Director, a position brand new to Tanque Verde. Deb has a very extensive background in serving seniors in the Tucson community and can be an excellent resource for all who walk through our doors. Chris Smith will be serving you as our Maintenance Director. He comes to us with a strong background of providing quality maintenance services in Arizona and Florida. Friendships Last a Lifetime Best Friend’s Day is Aug. 15. I want to thank everyone who has stopped by to voice a concern, or pay a compliment; please know that without the input of others, the team at Emeritus would not be able to progress in our mission to provide the best care possible for our residents. Brianna McGough is now serving as our Lead Medication Technician from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. and comes to us with a plethora of senior living experience in this capacity. For our Family Day in June, we invited aMariachi Band and had replicatedMargaritas and Bloody Marys.

Thanks to the Mariachi Luz De Luna forcoming out and providing the liveentertainment for our Family Day.

Check out our front lobby. It’s alwaysloaded with good treats from our very ownkitchen and always something refreshingto drink. You may also find out moreinformation about ourcommunity.

Don’t forget about our support group thismonth, Aug. 28, at 5 p.m., in the librarylocated in the front lobby. We’ll see youthere, and bring a friend.

Last month the residents did a variety ofsnacktivities. One snacktivity they did wasfried chicken. They did this because July 6was National Fried Chicken Day, and itwas yummy! The chicken was served atdinner.

The other snacktivity they did was makingbaked macaroni and cheese. It wasNational Macaroni Day on July 6.
