Christy Asher (runner up), Andrea Snyder (Queens Champion) and 1975 Queens Champion, Jean Worthy Andrea Snyder Captures 2009 California State Queens YORBA LINDA — The California State Queens was held August 15-16 at Yorba Linda Bowl in Orange County. Andrea Snyder, the left-hand- er from Pomona, dominated the entire weekend. She was the high qualifier in the Last Chance squad with scores of 190-236-247-290-208-290 (1461). Following right be- hind her in second was Caycee Landers with 210-248-269- 235-225-242 (1429). Andrea also earned the high game bo- nus award for the Last Chance squad with two 290 games. 14 bowlers qualified directly into the finals from the Women’s Championships that were held at Yorba Linda Bowl and For- est Lanes. Bowlers used their six game Doubles/Singles scratch scores at Forest Lanes for their seeded positions. Paula Vidad from Crestline was top qualifier through the Championships with a score of 1,359 and teammate Laurie Soto was not far behind her in second with 1,320. The last person to make the cut was Chevonne Christian from On- tario with 1,199. The past two champions, Tennelle Milligan (2008) and Dede Davidson (2007) were not able to attend, so the two extra spots were filled from the Last Chance squad, completing the finals field of 30. Andrea remained unde- feated throughout the double- elimination finals and after 10 rounds of bowling, was crowned the Queen with Chris- ty Asher from Costa Mesa as runner up. A special guest was in our crowd this weekend and so our 1975 past Queens Champion, Jean Worthy pre- sented Andrea with her tiara, flowers and trophy. Along with the title, Andrea earns an entry into the 2010 USBC Na- tional Queens event ($300 en- try) and an entry into the 2010 California State Queens to be held at Tyme to Bowl Lanes in Oroville. Andrea Snyder would like to thank Vance Sisk at Matter of Degrees Pro Shop in San Bernardino for drilling her equipment and supporting her through everything. She would also like thank her dad for his love and endless sup- port… And last but not least, to Ben, her lucky charm, for his guidance, patience and un- ending support! In the finals, Caycee Landers earned the high game bonus award with 253 and there was tie for the high two-game series bonus award of 462 between Roberta Vann and Chrystelle Gallo. The tournament staff and participants would like to extend special thanks to Jim Horning and his great staff at Yorba Linda Bowl. You can download tournament results online at www.CalUSBC. com. The PBA tour is off to a flying start. The first seven tournaments, titled the World Series of Bowl-ing, are being conducted in the Detroit area. These events feature all willing PBA members. Fur-thermore, it is open to all amateur bowlers and includes several of the world’s greatest international stars. This is part of the “new PBA” program.

Following these exciting events, the PBA will resort to the regular 64-man exempt field. The 64-man field will take on a “new look” with numerous new faces and the absence of familiar bowlers who failed in their attempts to re-qualify.

The new additions include the following top finishers at thePBA Tour Trials in May in Allen Park, Mich:

Joe Ciccone (re-qualified) George Lambert (Canadian)Thomas SmallwoodCassidy Schaub (two-handed, no-thumb bowler)Mitch BeasleyStuart Williams ( from England)Stevie WeberTim Mack

The following players qualified as top finishers for PBA Regional Players Invitational, December, in Reno:

John NolenP.J. HaggertyLonnie Waliczek (after two years absence)Dave Arnold (after several years absence)John MayBrian WaliczekDerek SappWayne Garber

    Returning from injury deferment:Tommy Delutz

Golden Parachute Exemption (awarded by PBA Commissioner) Brian Voss

Here are players exempt for the 2008-09 season which are not for this season:

Tommy Baker (now on the senior tour)Joe BaileyAndrew CainDave D’EntremontJason LundquistBilly OatmanTerrence ReevesTony ReyesChster RogersKen SimardDavis TraberCraig TuholskiChris WarrenRandy Weiss

Additionally, these foreign PBA stars failed to qualifyBill Rowe (former Canadian super star)Andres Gomez (outstanding bowler from Colombia)

Most noticeable is the absence of perennial exempt players, Tommy Baker, Dave D’Entremont and David Traber.

However, the return of Joe Ciccone, Dave Arnold, John May, and Lonnie Waliczek was heartwarm-ing. Joe Ciccone, along with Bill O’Neill and Brian LeClair, are the BEST players on the pro cir-cuit without a singles TITLE. Unfortunately Le Clair will have to re-qualify through the pro-tour qualifying system. O’Neill and Ciccone are LONG OVERDUE. This could be their year!

A couple of veteran players experienced sub-par years, yet managed to garner enough points to qualify for the 2009-10 season. These include Jason Couch, a 15-time titlist, and Mike Edwards. Relative newcomers, Todd Book and Jason Sterner amassed enough points to again qualify for the 2009-10 season.

The 2009-10 season will be significant for five of the greatest bowlers in PBA history; ageless wonders, Parker Bohn (age 46), Norm Duke (age 45) Brian Voss (age 51) Pete Weber (age 47) and Walter Ray Williams (age 50 in October).

Although Voss failed to gain exemption this past year, he was accorded an honorary exemption (Golden Parachute) by Commissioner Fred Schreyer) Brian did very well in his short stint on the senior circuit and proved he is still capable of putting up big numbers.

Walter Ray Williams experienced his poorest season in the past 10 years. Although Walter Ray’s 2008-09 record would be the envy of most PBA players, it was not Williamesque. He was sixth place among point leaders, despite the fact he won one title and cashed in all 21 events he entered. He made match play 17 times, made four TV appearances, which included two seconds and a third. He averaged 221.27 (sixth) and earned $99,780, good enough for seventh among money leaders. While these figures would elate most PBA players, I’m certain Walter Ray, who sets ultra-high standards for himself, was disappointed. Nonetheless, Williams remains one of the most feared players in the game, despite the fact he has reached the ripe old age of 50.Pete Weber failed to win a tournament during the past season. Pete appeared on TV four times, finishing second once, fourth twice, and fifth once. He ranked 11th on the points list, and averaged a respectable 221.16…not too shabby for a 47 year-old kid.

Parker Bohn won one tournament during the last season. He cashed in 20 of 21 events he entered, made match play 12 times, and appeared on TV twice. He averaged 220.17 (good enough for 10th) and earned $80,190.

Norm Duke, the diminutive magician, captured three titles during the 2008-09 season. He also led the PBA in earnings, $199,630. Although his three titles and earnings total led in both categories, they may be a bit deceiving. A number of players managed to appear in more match play. Addition-ally, Duke’s 219.44 average ranked 13th among the PBA players. Nonetheless, Duke made the best of his opportunities in 11 match play finals, witnessed by his three titles.

There is an old adage, “out with the old, in with the new”.

While there may be substance to this cliché in most sports, the above-mentioned over 45 group have certainly contradicted this belief. Williams and his veteran buddies are proving bowling is a lifetime sport, even at the top.

Barnes and Nation Strike Out at World Games

by Page Dew for the Bowling News Network

Chris Barnes and Stephanie Nation of the USA failed to medal at the 2009 International World Games held in Kaohsiung, Chinese Taipei July 17-27, 2009. This year’s medal shut out was particularly disappointing since both Barnes, one of the top PBA pros, and Nation, top ranked Team USA member, were expect-ed to do well, Barnes finished fourth on the men’s side, Nation thirteenth among the women. In Mixed Doubles Barnes-Nation combined for a seventh place finish.

The World Games began in 1981 and is held every four years. It is composed of 32 non-Olympic sports. In ten pin bowling, eight countries from each of three FIQ-WTBA Zones (24 total) competed in Men’s Singles, Women’s Singles and Mixed Dou-bles. Topping the leader board and winning a gold medal at the end of the competition in Men’s Singles was Manuel Otalora of Colombia. Wu Siu Hong of Hong Kong was the silver medalist, while Adrian Ang of Malaysia took the bronze.

Poellaenen Krista of Finland won gold in Women’s Singles, upsetting Zara Glover of Great Britain. Krista previously defeat-ed Liza del Rosario of the Philippines in the stepladder process, dropping Rosario into the bronze position.

The team of Kong Byoung-hee and Gye Min-young of Ko-rea became the gold standard in Mixed Doubles when they first defeated the Malaysian couple of Adrian Ang and Zatil ZIman and then eventual silver winners Manuel Otalora and Anggie Ramirez of Colombia.

In America, the bowling community always expects its repre-sentatives to do well in international tournaments, but fail to real-ize the rest of the world has not only caught up with the USA, but in many ways have surpassed it. Some of the success achieved by other countries has come about because of fine coaching by a number of Americans; of particular note is the second place finish by Wu Siu Hong of Hong Kong in Men’s Singles. He is coached by former PBA member Purvis Granger of Louisiana.

The Games produced the largest total attendance in its his-tory. Over 1.2 million people celebrated the Games at the World Games Plaza this year. 31 sports representing over 5,000 athletes/officials and 103 countries were on display with rugby drawing over 20,000 people for their finals. Sport dancing produced a re-cord 13,000 delirious fans who watched couples from all over the world perform exciting routines on their last night. By com-parison, the bowling venue was small, staid, and the scoring was difficult to follow.

The President of the International World Games Association (IWGA), Ron Froehlich, paid tribute to the 6,000 volunteers for their strong supporting role. At the closing ceremonies, Froehlich also presided over the ceremonial transfer of the IWGA flag to Mr. Pascual Guerrero, the President and Director of the Colum-bian Organizing Committee. Cali, Columbia will be the host city for the Games in 2013.

For more information on the World Games log on to www.worldgames-iwga.org

The Olympic Effort? When questioned about what is being done to win a

place for bowling in the Olympics several knowledgeable sports figures at the World Games simply stated “noth-ing.” Not since the days of former FIQ President Jerry Koenig has a coordinated effort been made to win an Olympic berth for bowling.

Sadly, bowling has slipped from conversation regard-

ing a place in the Olympics. While the sport’s initiative has lain fallow, other sports have moved aggressively to rise to the top of the line for consideration as an Olympic medal sport. Specifically, karate, roller skating, squash, and rugby are among several World Games sports vying for the honor, recognition and resources that would au-tomatically accrue to their sport with inclusion into the Olympic program.

Non-World Games sports such as golf, taekwondo and baseball are also under consideration. By the time this is published, two sports will be selected in Berlin, Germany for recommendation to the International Olympic Com-mittee. (IOC)

A final vote on the additions to the Olympic Games roster by the full membership of the IOC will take place in early October at Copenhagen, Denmark. Copenhagen will also be the site for the dramatic unveiling of the city that will host the 2016 Games. Madrid, Rio de Janeiro, Tokyo and Chicago have each submitted bids to host the Games seven years from now.

In our opinion, the best bets for inclusion are Golf and Rugby; and in 2016 (we hope) the host will be . . . Chicago - Page Dew

SAN DIMAS — Bedell Vasquez put it all together this week as he won his second ABTA title in fine style finally downing a Hot Shooting An-drew Lung in the title game to take home a nice $1,400 top prize for his fine effort.

Bedell, a mainstay with the ABTA really bowled well qualifying on Saturday and then led the semis on Sunday with a nice +170 to be our top seed, sit out, and bowl for the title.

The Cut scores were good Saturday +76 Men and Wom-en at +42 making the cut. On the Separate qualifying squad Sunday it took men +70 and ladies +47. Also taking 1 in 4 ½ to the semis. Also added were Super Seniors Kay John-son, Ely Cruz, and Romy Ca-jucom.

good one. Andrew won a thriller at 230-227 game and Dom was third with great bowling. Andrew off to the title game vs Bedell.

The title game now under-way and Bedell earned a big lead due to a slow start by An-drew who looked to be dead after 5 frames.

But not Mr. Lung as he dug deep, tossed a big three bag-ger and put pressure on Bedell who split twice in frames 7-8 but marked out for a 171/219 game. Due to a baby split in frame 8 Andrew just missed as he finished at 166/203.

The title went to Longtime member Bedell who heart-warmingly dedicated this title to his Fiancée Lisa Baumgart-ner who passed away in June due to a battle with cancer.

Lisa Bedell is looking down at YOU and she knows that he finally won a title after many years. Great bowling by one of the Good Guys! A job well done. Kudos to You Bedell

Truly another of the “Good Guys” Andrew Lung bowled lights out and could have won this one. He is a titlist winning earlier this summer.

He has really improved in the time since joining the club Title #2 is coming soon for this likeable man. Congrats An-drew!! Andrew is also one of our finest supporters!! Kudos!

Dom Laguardia is one of our Finest and Faithful mem-bers and a great bowler. Great bowling Dom and same to Mark and Greg.

Tourney Hi Qualifiers were Robert Hernandez, who was so hot he made the Devil sweat at +252. Gina Velarde led the la-dies with a big +204. Both get paid entries.

    The doubles were topped

by Robert Hernandez, and David Bartlett 1613 good for $130 edging Francisco Trejo and Gina Velarde 1583 $110.George Parker and Hernandez 1565 $100. We paid 20 places and $1,210 in the doubles.

The Match Game was Matched at 236 drawn by Be-dell. Mike Lo Russo was the sole winner of $1,255. Con-grats to a good guy. We will estimate $1,400 in the Match Game Saturday.

The Match Series was UN Matched at 395, so we go for a sweet est. $1,600 in the Series and for only $2 to enter.

Derek Lee was last up in the 3-6-9 roll-off and he made it count getting the needed 5 9’s or better for a nice $500 pot. Congrats! We will start anew at $400 Saturday. The 3-6-9 has been hit quite often lately!!

Bedell Vasquez hails from San Gabriel. He is single la-dies and thanks Mom, Granda, and Brandon for the support.. Kudos also to Tremaine Rob-bins and Chris Rocha at Foot-hill Lanes.

Andrew Lung is from Monterey Park, and used a 2nd Dimension drilled by “Easy Ed” Williamson at Bowling Square. He is single ladies, and thanks his whole family, Mou Liu Bowlers for support, and the ABTA Staff, and con-grats to Bedell for a very excit-ing match..

Dom La Guardia is from Long Beach and used a Power Swing for the win drilled by Mike Wahl at Cerritos Lanes. He is married to Zeny, and kids are Jayzel, A.J. and Jus-tin. He thanks wife and fam-ily for love, and support, fans who cheered and ABTA staff, and Bob for a great job.

Thanks to Mike, Mandy Chapparal and staff who were very helpful . We hope to re-turn soon. Bedell Vazquez en-ters the archives as a two time Champion.

LAKEWOOD—The 16-team Las Vegas Traveling league start-ed Monday at Cal Bowl for their 52nd season and what a delight-ful surprise for those that had not visited Cal since Charlie Kinstler added it to his empire of centers throughout Southern California.

There has been major im-provements and more to come, but my favorite is the automatic doors, which is great for those of us carrying a ton of stuff. Also, the new scorers are super and so easy to read.

Opening day was a busy one for President Roberta McNaught and this league manager. We man-aged to get through it and look for less hectic weeks ahead. Some new bowlers joined the league but the old timers (30 years or more) are still the majority. We missed Berniece King who will not be able to bowl this season, however, longtime friend and teammate, Bernice Bennett is acting captain during her lay-out.

Also, Ada Burris has asked Norma Paye to assume leadership of her team until she has had and recovered from upcoming gall bladder surgery. We also missed Jay Haggerty, who retired from the league this year after more than 25 years, but she will still be bowling in the Thursday Cal Bowl league which does not require so much traveling.

Interesting to note the 16 team league posted only two places in our first report. Eight teams are tied for first and 8 teams tied for second. Yep, it looks like another competitive season that has made this Classified league so popu-lar. Thanks to our super subs that turned out Monday, including Phyllis Baldwin, who travels the longest distance; Las Vegas!

Dee Phipps led the scoring report with 234-558, followed by Kathy Parrish 201-539, Dorothy Scott 527, Karen Mauricio 525, Sue McGill and Millie Harris tied on 510, Bernice Williams 505, Aresia McGee 501, S. Pittman 209, Cyndie Martin and 201.

NEXT WEEK: 10 a.m. Mon-day, August 24 at Cal Bowl. League rules and schedules will be distributed and list all of the sea-son dates and locations. Captains are responsible to deliver a copy to each member and we advice keeping them in bowling bags so you won’t lose them. Schedules only will be distributed to subs by request.

Deaf Travel League Has 8 Teams For The 50th Season Fall Opening

NORWALK — So. California Deaf Traveling League has grown to 8 teams of foursomes for its coming Fall season opener. Twenty-eight bowlers showed up at its 50th Anniversary meeting at Keystone Lanes; altogether with 10 absentees who could not make the meeting but wanted to be one of the teams. Along with the change from 6 teams of trios to 8 teams of foursomes and raising the cap for teams to 690, the members voted to keep the same rules as last year and to waive the 25 miles travel radius rule. The same slate of President Ed Abaku-moff, Vice-President Sharon Caldwell and Connie Marchione as Secretary-Treasurer will run the 2009-10 season which will include a 50th Anniversary season ending banquet at a place to be announced later. The league will open its travel schedule with Keystone Lanes on Sunday, September 13 at 1:00 p.m. Then for September 27 we will try to get AMF Carter Lanes as next and new place on schedule. Then the rest of the schedule will be set up.

John Segafredo Suffered A Stroke TARZANA — A long time deaf bowler, John Segafredo suffered a stroke on August 3 and was hospitalized in Ventura. A week later he was transferred to a rehabilitation center in Tarzana where he is recovering. John would like friends who knew him to come and visit him there or drop him a card. The address is: Tarzana Health & Rehabilitation Center, John Segafredo, Room 64 A, 5650 Reseda Blvd., Tarzana, CA 91356. For many years a steady 180-190 average bowler, Segafredo did his league bowling at Mission Hills Bowl, Brunswick Matador Bowl and Canoga Park Bowl, making many friends there. He was also a member of So. Caif. Deaf Traveling League and Golden State Deaf League. Before his stroke he was planning to come back to the Deaf Traveling League for its 50th Anniversary season.  Segafredo is best known as the 1983 winner of the Pacific Coast Deaf Masters in which he beat 218 other deaf bowlers at Reno. Later on in 2006, he won the Pacific Coast Deaf Senior Masters at Canoga Park Bowl. If you have time, try to visit him and encourage him on his rehabilitation or just drop him a card. John has failing eyesight, so print your name in large letters for him to read. Our prayers are with him for his recovery.

    Baker Team Rolls The Impossible

    by Carol Mancini

DOWNEY — Team One in the popular Baker mixed league that bowls on Mondays at Del Rio Lanes — for the last 20 years — had scores so rare that U.S.B.C. doesn’t even have an award! Team members — Bill Kin-stler, Sonia Hernandez, Bob Ely, Jack “Wookie” McQuaide, Andy Moran—bowled their usual first 2 games “Non-Bak-er” style. Game 3-4 and 5 are Baker format in this league. Game Three, anchor man Andy Moran struck out for a 182, 2 pins higher than their Baker average. In Game Four, three mem-bers got a small string going in frames 7-8-9, add in four spares, plus 2 splits. Results? Another 182 game. Game Five was a picture of XX’s and O’s. Four bagger in frames 8-9-10-10 equals? 182. I called the U.S.B.C. Head-quarters in Texas. I asked for the Awards Department. When the “Southern Belle” heard my story, she hollered “Does any-one around here know anything about a Baker League?” That told me the answer was going to be “NO” — no award for a Baker triplicate. Maybe they won’t receive a National award, but it sure excited their writer to toot their horns and extend CON-GRATS!

Bidwell Perfect - Rolls 300 on Mixed Patterns

SIMI VALLEY—In only its first year of existence, the Teen Masters new collegiate division has already seen its first mem-orable moment: Devin Bidwell of Simi Valley, Calif., needing a nearly perfect game to make the first cut, rolled 12-straight strikes on combined lane conditions for a perfect 300 game.

Bidwell, a lanky right-hander with a dynamic release, took full advantage of his eye-popping physical game Thursday af-ternoon at the South Point Hotel and Casino bowling center, dis-playing uncommon versatility and determination. Using two dif-ferent balls and lines to the pocket in the 18th and final game of qualifying, Bidwell stayed ahead of the transitioning lanes to toss only the second honor score in Teen Masters history. Bidwell is the first amateur player ever to notch a perfect game on the com-bined short and long sport pattern.

“It just happened,” Bidwell said, noting that the pieces just fell into place and he started to carry. The fact that it helped him leapfrog several competitors into 5th place and make match play made Bidwell’s accomplishment that much sweeter.

Presented by Ebonite International, Dexter Shoes and Kegel, the Teen Masters is America’s premier high school bowling tour-nament. Introduced in 2009, the Teen Masters collegiate division is intended to grow into one of college bowling’s premier singles and team competitions.

Citrus Belt Trio Bowls 818 Game!

    by Frank WeilerMURIETTA—The Citrus

Belt trio team of ROB HOLM-ES, NEAL WRIGHT, and PAT PERINICH lit up the lanes re-cently in the 600 Scratch Trio League at Brunswick Cal Oaks Bowl.

With games of 299 (by Holmes), 219 (by Wright), and 300 (by Perinich) the team set a league and Citrus Belt record for a single scratch trio game of 818. That is an average of 272 per man.

Holmes just missed match-ing Perinich’s 300 when he left a solid eight pin on a good hit on his twelfth shot.

Just a week before this record breaking game, this same trio league saw team-mates Bryan and Jim Barnes bowl 279 and 300 in the same trio game. Their teammate bowled a 165 for a 744 team trio game.

My thanks go out to REB SAWITZ and Cal Oaks Bowl manager DAVE TENNY for reporting these scores to me.

Mark Roth Fund Raiser Ball & Bag Winners at AMF Woodlake Lanes. Congratulations!

WOODLAND HILLS — Taking a cue from The Bowl-ing Foundation’s Mark Roth Support, Chuck Reese and his Valley Bowling Supply sponsored a Mark Roth Benefit event last Saturday at AMF Woolake Lanes. This  benefit event, a three-game affair was to raise funds to help pay for the huge rehabilitation expenses occurred by Mark Roth who is recovering from his massive stroke. The stroke that disabled Mark’s right side happened just a month after he was honored with induction into USBC Hall of Fame at USBC Convention in Reno. This writer and his brother, Dominic, were among the well wishers and concerned bowlers who rallied to help Chuck’s  cause  by filling  four deep in three-quarters of AMF Woodlake’s 32 lanes. All par-ticipants had enjoyed bowling three games with their entry fee minus the bowling fees going to the Roth fund. Some had participated in brackets and this writer won one of them and donated his prize to the fund. Also each participant was given  15  raffle  tickets  and  a card for three free games by AMF Woodlake Lanes. The raffles were drawn for 4 bowl-ing balls and one bowling bag. This writer apologizes for not getting the names of the raffle

winners, and of the lady who donated her winning ball back to the fund. Chuck’s event was suc-cessful with a goodly sum of money going to The Bowling Foundation to help Mark Roth’s Support Fund. Chuck said to thank all the supporters and participants in helping to make this a successful venture. This writer hopes that other pro shops or bowling propri-etors will copy Chuck Reese’s fundraising plan in helping Mark Roth return to good health. Roth, now at 58, al-though winning 34 PBA titles had  some  tough  years  finan-cially. This year he was chosen as the 5th greatest bowler in the poll for the 50 greatest bowlers. This writer was in the USBC Hall of Fame gathering last May at Reno when the healthy Mark was inducted. His in-duction speech was short and proud. He ended his speech with something like, “the honor of being inducted in the bowl-ing’s highest Hall of Fame was like the thrill of his winning his first PBA title”. Anyone who wants to help support Mark Roth, can make a tax deductible donation to Mark Roth Support Fund, c/o The Bowling Foundation, 621 Six Flags Drive, Arlington, TX 76011.

STUDIO CITY — As you should know (and if not we’ll transcribe it now), Pinz is 50 years old! We are not over the hill or nearing old age, only being the silver foxes we are and gracefully aging. The number 50 means a lot of us, if it is divided by 10 and add 3 and then cut it in half and multiply it, you get the exact number of times that it took you to figure that equation out.

PINZ ADULTS Many of you have bowled 250’s or 750 series, but have you ever bowled an actually 50? That takes talent and we applaud anyone who can skillfully bowl a 50 and still have pride in their game. Unfortunately, none of you did so here’s the scores: Twilighters: Allan Hamond 254/636, Jim Moore 246/624, Tony Deraud 243, Kevin King 238, Peter Berger 217. Kings and Queens: Kevin Collins 268/733, Mark Dacey 240, Jonathan Kendrick 227, John Hamois 224, Ross Gold-man 221. E.I.B.L.: Greg Reed 256/672, Herb 231/638, Mike 634, John Randolph 225/616, Brian Baccus 224, John Villa 221, Will Garrett 221. PINZ JUNIORS Great job this week, young ‘uns. One day you’ll reach 50 and look back at how much fun you had at Pinz and what a great person Barbara Lee is. Well, we are 50 and we already know that our Junior Director is the cat’s pajamas. So party like its 1959 and check out these scores: Adult Junior: Brandon Dziengielewski 254/665, Treven Goldsmith 214/611, Jamie Spector 218/593, Max Korn 210/553, Brad Lander 216/551. Senior Scratch: Max Korn 279/912, Natalie Honda 216/805, Natalie Kato 219/733, Treven Goldsmith 182/667, Jamie Spector 185/633. PINZ SENIORS/LADIES Well, you have seen 50’s before, maybe years ago or just recently. Yet, have you ever realized that some of you are older than the alley that you bowl at? No sweat, we still think you’re spring chickens, young bucks, buckaroos, springaroo bucks, or whatever else shows how young you are. Well, look at these ageless scores: Happy Timers: Gary Olsen 181/527, Joel Margolis 188/494, Yolanda Dragotta 155/416, Ruth Swick 143/382. Bowler of the Week: This past article may have seen like deja vu yet it clearly still states how great you are. So we picked the greatest bowler of last week: Allan Ham-mond. He bowled a wonderful 254 game for a 636 series this past Tuesday. Great Allan and hope to see you in the winter league. Sweetness Quote of the Week: Looking fifty is great-if you’re sixty. - Joan Rivers.
