    THOUGHTS FROM BRAD

This past week I experienced two milestones in mylife; I turned fifty and celebrated my 28th weddinganniversary with Kim. Both of which are hard tobelieve. Life has a tendency to move along rapidly. Iam glad we get to do life together. I want to thankall those who helped me celebrate my birthday. Itmeant a lot to me that you took time to share in this

moment. Thank you for your gifts and words ofencouragement.

During our study, we will look at clusters of specificacceptable sins that we tend to tolerate. Our goal:To move us beyond what we accept in ourselves sothat we can become holy & righteous individuals

    covered by Gods grace.

Each participant will need to bring a Bible each week, along with a copy of the book, Respectable Sins.

These books have already been ordered andyou can pick up your copy from Brad. The costof the book is $14.

Allow me to leave you with this thought today. As Iwas reading in Philemon this morning, these wordsjumped off the page. Philemon 1:4-7 says, I always

thank my God as I remember you in my prayers, because I hear about your faith in the Lord Jesus and

your love for all the saints. I pray that you may beactive in sharing your faith, so that you will have a fullunderstanding of every good thing we have in Christ.Your love has given me great joy and encouragement, because you, brother, have refreshed the hearts of

    the saints.

May we make it our goal, that these words would be

    said of us.

    In His Service,Brad

Your leaders are concerned about the personal safety and

wellbeing of all who attend our services. Therefore, over the

coming weeks, we will be seeking to upgrade our security.

This will involve asking those who attend Sunday School to use

only the Fifth Avenue street level entrance and the handicap

ramp. These doors will be locked at about 10:15am (afterworship has begun) and all traffic will then be directed

through our front Fifth Avenue entrance. This will make the

task of our security people much easier and more efficient.

"A shroud of secrecy cloaks a new nineteenth-century sectknown simply as "the Saints." But that veil is about to bedrawn away. Amidst the majestic beauty of 1857 Utah, themembers of one secluded religious group claim to wantnothing more than to practice their beliefs withoutpersecution. Yet among them are many who engage insecret vows and brutal acts of atonement, all in the nameof God.

But one young woman, Hannah McClary, dares to question

the truth behind the shroud. Soon Hannah and the youngman she loves, Lucas Knight, who has been trained fromchildhood to kill on behalf of the Church, find themselvesfighting for their very lives.

As a group of unwary pioneer families march into Utahtoward a tragic confrontation with the Saints at a placecalled Mountain Meadows, Hannah and Lucas are thrustinto the most difficult conflict of all--a battle for truth andjustice, even as they are learning for the first time about

    unconditional love, acceptance, and forgiveness."
