received a great number of enquiries or resumes.
We want to express our sincere gratitude to those who are
volunteering their service, in this area while the search continues.
We ask each of you to continue in prayerful support of our efforts.

THOUGHTS FROM BRAD
By the time you read this article, the Feed the Shoe event hascome and gone. We had a total of twenty-seven peopleparticipate as we bagged up food for the hungry in Haiti. I am sothankful for all of you who gave of your time and effort toaccomplish so much for those who have so little. I also want tothank all of you who sacrificially gave donations to help sponsorvarious individuals. Your gift of $25 not only sponsored an
individual but it bought enough food supply to feed 135 people.Wow! We have so much to be thankful for in this country.
Its not too late to make plans to join us for our revival nights. Ifyou couldnt join us last Sunday, you missed my father preach.Dad has preached for 61 years and he did a great job. Pleaseallow me to encourage you to come out and hear Steve Seeverson August 19th. Steve has served as Campus Minister both atO.U. and O.S.U. I want to say a special thanks to those who aredonating our refreshments for each night of the revival this month. If you would still like to sign up for the refreshments, you can do soin the coat room.
Scripture says Encourage one another and build each other up,just as you are doing. May you continue to be a blessing to thepeople of your life; your church; your workplace; your family; andyour community. God is good, so may his goodness shine in you!
In His Service,Brad Seevers
SCOTTS THOUGHTS
We serve an amazing God who is all powerful and capable ofspeaking all things into existence. By His word everything that hasbeen created came into being as described in the first chapter ofJohn. Yet He chooses to involve us in what He is doing.Ephesians 3:20 says Now to him who is able to do immeasurablymore than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is atwork within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesusthroughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen. God canaccomplish His will without any assistance from us whatsoever, but invites us to come along side Him and participate in thegospel, by His power at work within us so that we, the church, might share in bringing Him glory. In that process He teaches usmore and more about who He is and how much He loves us. How
is God inviting you to share in His ministry today? How is Heequipping you to bring Him glory by the things He is working inyou?
Lord, open our eyes that we might recognize the simple ways wecan glorify You in our daily lives. Amen.
A special thanks to all who participated in the Feed the Shoeevent either by actually going or by contributing to help defray thecosts. This was a wonderful opportunity to minister to hurtingpeople in the name of Jesus.
In Him,
Scott

Core Values...Values central to the life, mission and vision of Fifth Avenu
Church of Christ are:
Christ-Centered WorshipWe make it a priority every Sunday to celebrate Jesus througour music. (Romans 11:36-12:1-2). We focus on Jesus througgrace-based preaching and teaching & understand the Bible i
our authority (2 Timothy 3:16).
Church Health and Biblical
BalanceChurch health becomes reality when God's people seek
harmony & live consistently. We expect every member toprotect the unity of Christ's Church. (Romans 12:16; 1 Peter
3:8)
Global EvangelismWe are constant to our founding call to worldwide evangelismproclaiming to all that Jesus Christ is the Savior, Healer, and
Soon-Coming King (Acts 20:27).
Fellowship and MinistryAfter people begin their journey with Jesus, we will equip the
to find a ministry based upon their strengths. We wanteveryone to serve in some capacity. (1 Corinthians 12:12-27We also want His church to be the living evidence of His lov
and power to the world.
DiscipleshipWe do not want you to "get religion" here at Fifth AvenueChurch of Christ in Lancaster. We are all about teaching yothat Jesus seeks a daily relationship with Him through a life oobedience. In other words, we want to see the things you artaught actually change your lifestyle & your daily decisions
Social ConscienceWe place high value on the sanctity of human life, of Biblica
marriage and morality, and we welcome ethnic diversity (Isai56:7; Philippians 2:15-16).
OUR PURPOSE
WE EXIST TO
Exalt Gods Greatness;
Evangelize Gods Work
Equip Gods People
Express Gods Love through Jesus Christ
OUR MISSION
To Love God and Love People!
