Today, outdoor furniture choices consist mainly of dining sets and conversation sets. Dining sets are easy to arrange on a patio. On the other hand, conversation sets require more thought, just like designing your living room or great room. Once you have placed the furniture, usually a sofa or loveseat, then

add in a coffee table and end table. Outdoor liv-ing room sets are usually that, just sets. They are too matchy matchy. Adding a different side table will create more visual interest. Don’t forget to add in an area rug as it brings unity to the space and anchors the conversation area. I would even recommend using them indoors espe-cially for homes that have pets or small children.

It is my indoor/outdoor go to piece for extra seating and I also use it as a small end table. I was just at the Coombs market and they have re-cently received a huge shipment of such stools in blue and green. My preference is white as it is versatile. Homesense car-ries Chinese stools, but you usually need to purchase them at the start of the sea-son for a good selection.
