Positive Behaviour for Learning

(PBL)

BE RESPECTFUL BE A LEARNER BE SAFE

Behaviour of the week: I use equipment appropriately.

This week in our Positive Behaviour for Learning lessons, the students are learning to use equipment appropriately. This positive behaviour expectation has a Be Safe focus and it is relevant to all areas of the school. During class, students will discuss how to use equipment appropriately. They will also act out how to use this equipment and generate discussion around the importance of being safe with equipment.

Year 4 - 5 - 6 Class - Liz Lindsay Happy Week 7! Where has the term gone? This week is

another busy week in the 4/5/6 classroom. We are continuing

to analyse author style in preparation for our English

assessment. In Maths, we are working hard on problem solving

involving the four operations and building our understanding

of number properties. During our literacy time, we are

continuing to conduct reading tests and are working hard on

our spelling and vocabulary. As we enter this busy assessment

period it is vital students are attending school daily and are

participating fully. Our Premiers Reading Challenge ends this

Friday. At this point in time, we have 50% of students who

have completed the challenge. Finally, good luck to the legends

performing on Friday. We know you will do an amazing job!

Have a lovely week.

Year 2 - 3 Class - Jess Jones Happy week 7 everyone! This week, students are continuing

their planning for their English assessment. Everyone has been

super creative so far with their procedures and I am excited to

see each presentation. In Maths, we are looking at three digit

and four digit numbers and representing multiplication and

division. Another busy and fun week ahead. Have a look at the

photo below of our biscuit decorating last Friday. Students

created a procedure first and followed the procedure to

decorate their biscuits. Have a great week everyone!

Kindy - Prep - Year 1 Class - Kara Dawson The end of the year is going to be here sooner than we think!

The Preps and Year 1s will start planning their final character

descriptions later this week and into the start of next. We have

a lot of writing ahead of us! In Maths, we are still working on

our counting sequences and using them to help us count

collections quickly. This Friday, the Kindies will be creating rice

cake bunnies as a part of our cooking program this week. Have

a good week everyone!

Students of the Week I speak politely.
