Taken is a action crime thriller which has similar conventions and aspects of someone being taken, we evolve around the plot of why Kim was taken which had no exact answer, she was randomly chosen, however our plot would intrigue the audience more especially since they want to know why Savannah Grace was taken and kept for over 3 decades. As you have noticed we used a female that gets abducted simply because they are seen as vulnerable and are usually seen to be victims of crime more than men. This also helps attract our audience more and especially since our audience can relate it to themselves as they put themselves in the position of Savannah Grace which intensifies the whole experience creating thrills as well as mystery of her abductor.
