could you relate to the situation the characters were in?

The situation of the radio advert was that two girls were getting ready for a night out and one wasn’t able to find anything to wear. Even though our target market are young females. This situation allows everyone to be able to relate to the radio advert.

14does the radio advert link with the others? The target market

understood that the two girls in the radio advert were also the ones in the others. However the boys didn’t, we think that this was because they felt like the advert wasn’t for them and that they didn’t need to listen and pay attention.

DO YOU THINK THE VOICES SUITED THE ADVERT?• As we had to feature females aged 18-25 we had to make sure that the

voices sounded the right age and didn’t seem to be too young. By having the voices the correct age it will allow our target market to be able to understand who the advert was for and why. We feel the reason for the no was because a convention of a radio advert is to have very pronunciated speaking. E.g. to have very queens English. However by us breaking that convention it has allowed us to be able to the target our audience who are postmodern.

DO YOU RECEIVE ENOUGH INFORMATION IN THE ADVERT ?• In the radio advert girl 2 lists all the clothing in which Ellie-May offer. She

says a binary opposition for each e.g. ‘mini skirts to maxi skirts’ ‘short jackets to long jackets’ this Is allowing us to tell the audience all the wide verity of different people we can cater for and how much clothing we have to sell.

WAS THERE ANYTHING YOU DISLIKED ABOUT THE ADVERT?

is there anything you disliked about the advert We found that because the boys

weren't listening to the advert to understand the information about the brand they noticed it more. This is because they couldn’t connect to the characters of the advert as they weren’t selling what they wanted.

is there anything you liked about the advert We wanted to be able to provide information to our audience within a narrative type, we wanted our audience to be able to relate to the narrative as this would then mean that they could then understand the advert and then want to listen to it because it would then answer their problems.

We feature a narrative theory within our advert. We can apply the theory of Propps character roles. The donor is Ellie-May providing the Hero, girl 2, to save the princess from her problem, girl1.

DID YOU FEEL YOU WERE THE TARGET MARKET FOR THE BRAND. • In the advert it states ‘it great for us uni students who cant fund out

shopping addiction’ this then directly targeted the age gap of 18-25 and because it then had two females speaking it would then mean the girls understood it was for the. This then shows us that the boys understood that the boys knew that this brand isn't for them

• However, by us mentioning the university students it could be viewed as patronising. As we are saying that all they do is shop. This has gone against our research and assumptions that they have urban intelligence.
