*When collecting the responses from

these two questions I discovered

that most people who responded

were 18 years old. My movie trailer

age rate is 17, therefore this shows

that the responses to my other

questions are most likely to be

reliable as they are not under 17

years of age.

* The gender response was 50%

female and 50% male, showing that

the responses were from an equal

amount of people from the both

gender. This indicates that the

replies were not favouring one

gender’s preferences.

* For this question, 100% of the

people said that trailers

influences their decision to watch

the full movie. This made me

want to ensure my trailer was as

effective as possible in order to

influence my audience to watch

the full movie.

* This shows that nearly all my

target audience enjoys horror

movies, therefore the responses I

received are from people that

have specific preferences in this

genre. As a result, the responses

are extremely beneficial and will

influence my ideas.

* Even though for this question I've received a variety of answers, the genre horror of demonic and psychological horror were the most chosen. I decided to choose demonic horror as it was the most chosen one when discussing this question, such as in focus groups.

*Here, most people chose ‘haunted house’ as their favourite location for a horror movie. As a result, I will be filming majority of the movie trailer in a house with low key lighting to connote ‘haunting’. This is also a convention of the horror genre which is used for its enigma effect.

* This was an essential question as

the responses would inform me

about what kind of conventions

would intrigue my target audience

more. Here, the most chosen

question was suspense, therefore I

will make certain to have some

moments of suspense. For example,

the victim walking in a dark

corridor with a low yet dramatic

non diegetic sound, as well as using

different angles such as high angle

to make the victim seem powerless.

* Initially I wasn’t sure about how

long my trailer should be, however

from the responses I received it was

clear that my target audience

preferred shorter trailers.

Therefore I will make sure my

trailer will be short but effective,

around 60 seconds long.

* This question was crucial, as

not only the name is what

intrigues the audience to

watch the movie trailer but

also needs to reflect my

movie well. Therefore I gave

my audience a wide variety

of names that in my opinion

represented my movie

successfully.

* I thought ‘The Unknown’ and

‘Deadly obsession’ were the

most effective and as a result

I wasn’t sure which one to

choose. I was pleased when

nearly 50% of the people

chose ‘Deadly Obsession’

therefore choosing one of my

favoured names. For that

reason I decided to name my

movie trailer ‘Deadly

Obsession’.
