How our audience relates to the media text…

Our music video will appeal to a young target audience because the lyrics to the song itself are relative to young people and so can identify with the song. This will help in our audience decoding the meaning and ideas behind the video; although the shots we will incorporate into our video will be ambiguous, allowing the audience to interpret the images as they wish, enabling our audience to relate to the media text effectively. The video will be lively and colourful and have a fun vibe to it, important elements of which a young audience can identify with and enjoy.
