Read, study, and follow all instructions before attempting to use these devices. Failure to follow instruction or heed warnings may result in personal and/or property damage.

Refer to winch instruction and follow all instructions and warnings before mounting or using winch.

Use a Winch built for multipurpose hauling and pulling operations with a rating of no more than 2000 lbs. It is not to be used as a hoist for lifting, supporting, or transporting people, or for handling loads over areas where people could be present.

Do not attach Portable Winch Mount in manner other than designed, by strap or 2” receiver.

Always make sure attachment is secure. Block wheels if using vehicle as anchor point to prevent rolling.

Do not use reducer to insert into 1-1/4” receiver as typically these receivers do not have the load capacity to withstand the load rating of the winch.

Do not attach or use Portable Winch Mount where cable may come in contact with vehicle or other sharp objects that can damage cable, vehicle or injure operator.

Do not leave Portable Winch Mount attached to receiver during vehicle operation. Winch to be mounted only when in use.

Do not pull load at more than a 10° angle. Portable winch mount allows for this much alignment.

Keep hands and fingers clear of winch drum and cable area when operating. Do not attempt to hand guide the cable as it rewinds on the drum.

Keep the winching area free of all unnecessary personnel.

Never stand between load and winch.

Caution High forces are created when using a winch. Never allow children or anyone who is not familiar with the operation of a winch to use it.

Never exceed rated winch load. Dangerous forces can be created if load is too heavy or load binds. Note installing longer than normal cable will increase load on winch.

Do not use vehicle to increase pulling power.

If cable breakage occurs under tension, the cable tends to whip towards the winch area. It is recommended that a blanket be placed over the cable during winching operations to minimize this whipping action in case of breakage.

When winching operation is done do not depend on winch mount to support load. Always secure load with tie downs, chain, blocks, or wheel chocks.

Make sure all bolts are tight before use and periodically check for tightness as vibration may cause nuts to loosen over time and can cause damage to portable winch or personal injury.

Do not force screws as this may cause threads to strip, which may cause damage to portable winch mount or cause personal injury.

Using 2 ea. Screw (4) attach Handle (2) to each of the Winch Frames (1). The feet of the frames to face each other. Note: make sure that Handle attaches from underneath as shown, this will prevent Winch from dropping if screw falls out.

Next slide assembled frame over the Winch Base (3) and align holes in frame feet with holes in base. Using 4 ea. Screws (4) attach frame to winch base.

Tighten all screws making sure Portable Winch Frame and Base are tight and square.

Depending on how the Portable Winch is to be used determines what hardware to add. The following describes how to attach and the use of all the hardware.

Attach the Eye bolts (8) through the holes in the rear lip. The Eye bolts can be left in place for the various types of usage. The main use is for chain or Tree Strap attachment (10). The Tree Strap (10) has loops at each end where the Shackles (9) can be inserted and then attached to Eye bolts (8). This provides an anchoring means while protecting the tree or other object portable winch is attached to.

The 2” swivel receiver mount (7) is attached with 3/8 x 2-1/2” bolt and lock nut (6). This allows for the portable winch to be secured to any 2” receiver capable of handling the load capacity. Note: make sure cable is straight between pulling object and winch, as swivel may allow winch to swing quickly if not lined up before retracting cable and may cause damage to portable winch or personal injury.

Read Electric winch instructions and understand before attaching winch.

Set winch onto portable winch base (3) and mark the placement of the holes of your winch onto the base. Drill proper hole size and quantity per the winch instructions making sure winch lines up with fairlead and does not interfere with mount handle.

There is an area for positioning a 12v motorcycle battery on the Winch Base. There are many aftermarket battery boxes which can be secured to the base to hold a battery.
