Final Green Quiz 2011Introduction In line with the South Asian Environmental Education Objectives 2007-11 , Green Living Association (GLA) has announced the last event of the campaign Final Green Quiz 2011 - as the global solidarity for Environment Protection. Kids Action to Restore Environment (KARE 2007-11) has been established as a unique way of promoting useful Environmental knowledge according to which a Green Angel develops 5 supporters who work out in his/ her close association to extend the useful knowledge on Environment Protection . In this way the vital knowledge passes on from children to the elders of society and thereby to all societal segments . With the completion of the KARE Campaign after the Final Green Quiz the theoretical round of Environmental Education would be accomplished after that the Green Angels would be involved in practically utilizing their learning in making their environment cleaner and lively. KAREis an interesting campaign which has challenged the young kids to join the enthusiastic Green Corps established by Green Living Association (GLA) in January 2007. In December 2007, shortly after the launch of the campaign the kids have shown remarkable participation to make it a congregation of 5,000 Green Angels and their around 25,000 supporters. In December 2008 the congregation developed to an impressive number of 15,000 Green Angels and their 75,000 supporters. Whereas in December 2010 the number extended to the 20,000 Green Angels and their almost 100,000 supporters . Now, it is time for all Green Angels and their prestigious institutes to bring their formidable talents to bear on the need for all Pakistanis to reduce our impact on global climate change one light bulb, one air conditioner and energy-efficient vehicle at a time.Behind such impressive figures the wonderful contribution of the City School is a celebrated reality which has enabled the school in getting global recognitions . The recent remarkable recognition to the City School in the Final Round of the KARE Campaign is a means of salutation for all of us and we are confident that the School will end the campaign as the Global Leader with its splendid performance in the Final Green Quiz .

Final Green Quiz 2011 AttributesIn line with the South Asian Environmental Education Objectives of the KARE Campaign (2007-11) Green Living Association has organized the Final Green Quiz in the last quarter of 2011. In making the last event of the campaign colourful and participative Green Living Association ( GL ) has announced numerous exclusive and fabulous prizes for the participants of A Quiz which the include Attractive Prizes and Recognitions for the Green Angels and Exclusive Awards and Recognitions for the administration of the Winner Campuses . For a global expression of Environmental Solidarity the prominent performers of the Quiz would join their global companions at the occasion of Pacific Rim Energy & Sustainability Congress 2012 to be organized at Hiroshima, Japan from 5 to 8 August 2012. In accordance with the KARE Campaigns objectives 2007-11 , maximum number of Green Angels from the participating campuses is encouraged to

participate in the Final Green Quiz . To help the campuses in engaging all of their enrolled students Green Living Association has announced a special package along with the fabulous prizes and recognitions for the Green Angels in such a way that each participant of the Quiz would receive recognition . As far as recognition to the participants is concerned the First Crown Green Angel (the Top National Winner) of the Final Green Quiz 2011 would avail a dazzling Euro-Trip for a Global Solidarity as well as for studying the modern concepts of Environment Protection . Moreover, a number of more attractive prizes and recognitions have been planned for the Crown, Bright and Super Green Angels (the National, Regional and Local Winners) and the best performer campuses and regions . For the first time during the KARE Campaign Exclusive Prizes have also been planned for the Schools Administration .

Best Participation Award with a SUR-Prize Recognition has been announced for the campus with participation of maximum number of students.

Best Commitment Award with a SUR-Prize Recognition has been announced for the campus with participation of the maximum percentage of the enrolled students . In case of more than one campus with the highest percentage of the participating students the decision of the Award would be made on the draw basis. Best Participation Award with SUR-Prize Recognition has been announced for the Region with participation of maximum schools with their best percentage of enrolled students within the region. The kids from Grade 1 to 12 can participate in the Final Green Quiz which has been organized in 3 categories in accordance with the students educational grades. Category 1 = from Grade 1 to 3, Category 2 = from Grade 4 to 7 & Category 3 = from Grade 8 to 12 . In the General Package the per student entry fee is Rs. 200/. A campus, willing to contest for the Best Commitment or the Best Participation Award , could avail the Solidarity Package with a special entry fee of Rs. 150/- . However, to avail this package the campus has to ensure above 90% participation of the enrolled students. The last date for the campuses to submit the collective entries is October 2011 . In line with the South Asian Environmental Education objectives 2007-11 , each Green Angel is encouraged to make his/ her five supporters (parents, family members, relatives, friends and teachers) and to work out the Quiz in association with them. A campus can join the event by filling and submitting the registration form (which could be downloaded from the website of GLA ) along with the collective entry fee (as a demand draft in the name of Green Living Association ) on the address given at the end of this document. On receiving the entries the blank Green Quiz Sheets would be sent to the respective campus the very next day. The Green Angels are expected to submit back their filled Answer Sheets within a week to help the school administration in sending the collective Answer Sheets back to GLA within the deadline . You would find the deadline of submitting back the Answer Sheets on the covering letter with the Question Sheets . A panel of the Green Living Environmentalists will assess the Sheets for the selection of the winners of the Quiz. In case of Filled Answer more than one

winner with the same marks the decision of the final winner would be made on the lucky draw among the winners .
