Discovering that the magnet can exert its influence through various materials.

Discover the usefulness of magnets in everyday life.

Discover by experimentation, that magnets attract objects that contain iron, nickel or cobalt.

Discover the interaction between two magnets and visualise what a magnetic field is (at the discretion of the teacher).

Activity 5
Initiate the students to fabrication. Make an animated character using
magnetism. The activity requires some materials
preparation on the teacher’s part. Particular attention is paid to foreseeable
difficulties in the teacher’s guide.
