These dreams hold forth duringthe cold winters night or in the summers sun. Most everyone dreamstheir dream. Only too few realizetheir dreams.

It is not fate that the Halliday"are about to realize their dreamedholiday. Years 01 constructive workand plans have made this dreamcome Irue,

Photographic equipmentwaS purchased, and with hints, ad·vice and trade tricks given her bythe personnel at the Lab, Evelynhopes to capture some of the wonderful beauty of the United States.

Mrs. Halliday said, "Our plans, with God's help, have materializedin every way," She CQntinued, "Lifehas truly been good to both of us;ours is really a dream come true."

They depart from San Antonio onDecember 1, in their 3O.foot Air·stream trailer. First stop is Norwalk,California. There the Christmas holi_days will be spcnt with Evelyn'smother, Mrs. Lsura H. WHAT is your dream for retirement7 Far away places? Sight

seeing? Travel? Hunting? Fishing? How many hours have you spent

in thought and dreams about thetime when work has earned you thatlong vacation called retirement? Allthose travel folders beckoning youto "healthful desert country" or"really live in the cool clear air ofthe mountains" or "only here canbe found 'Nature's Wonderland.'''

These dreams hold forth duringthe cold winters night or in the sum·mers sun. Most everyone dreamstheir dream. Only too few realizetheir dreams.

It is not fate that the Hallidaysare aboul to realize their dreamedholiday. Years of constructive workand plans have made this dreamcome true.

Evelyn Bohrer and Lowther Halliday met on a holiday, married inPhoenix, Arizona, and had a homein San Antonio completed just intime to celebrate their first homeand first Christmas together. Eventhen, plans and dreams for retire·ment entered the picture.

A native of Alvin, Texas, Lowtherattended the old Boston High Schoolon St. Mary's Street in San Antonio.Evelyn, born in Paris, Texas, attend·ed high school and Kidd Key Collegein Sherman, Texas.

Lowther, an employee with theSan Antonio Transit Company for 44

years, worked and dreamed, workedand planned toward this goal.

Evelyn, having five years priorservice with the Federal Government, returned to civil service. Forthe past six yeaJ:s, she has dreamed, planned and worked for this time, also.

A house trailer was purchased. Anardent fisherman, Lowther has beenadding to his fishing equipment until he is now ready for any kindof fish he might encounter. Evelynhas worked for the Fourth U. S.Army Photographic Laboratory forthe past two years. She became so interested in photography that she tooka course on the subject at St. Mary'sUniversity. Photographic equipmentwas purchased, and with hints, advice and trade tricks given her bythe personnel at the Lab, Evelynhopes to capture some of the wonderful beauty of the United States.

Mrs. Halliday said, "Our plans, with God's help, have materializedin every way." She continued, "Lifehas truly been good to both of us;ours is really a dream come true."

They depart from San Antonio onDecember 1, in their 30-foot Air.stream trailer. First stop is Norwalk,California. There the Christmas holidays will be spent with Evelyn'smother, Mrs. Laura H. Denton andbrother, Karl R. Denton. Plans areto fish for that big Salmon in theColumbia River in April, to see Canada and our new state of Alaska.Points of interest throughout theUnited States will be visited duringthe planned year and a half trip.

Lowther is a Master Mason andShriner. Evelyn is a Daughter of theNile and both are members of theRadient Chapter of the Eastern Star.Members of the Laurel HeightsMethodist Church, plans include visits to temples and churches aroundthe country.

"We are very excited about ourtrip, but I do want to say that SanAntonio is our home," said Evelyn."Yes, we have our home here, andmore important, our large family offriends," said Lowther. Both agreedto excitement about the trip and thefact that San Antonio is HOME.

Airstream (o-stars In New TV Series On NB( This Fall

T"& NEW NBC dramatic TV series"Troubleshooters," released by

United Artists, depicts the brawlingadventures of a globe_gallivantingconstruction crew, blasting, bulld~ing. and oottling its way to jobs welldone in a score of the world's outof-the-way places. The slars "f thisw""kIy thriller are Keenan Wynn,Bob Mathias, and their AirstreamLand Yacht,

Dire<;\or Robert Allman cast Air.stream in the lop, lion-human. stellar role because he relt thai theLand Yacht most accurately symbolized the brains-plus-brawn character of the typical American fidd engineer or technician.

"Troubleoshooters" premieres OnSeptember II and the first showtells the story of the mCflUng of Kodiak (Keenan Wynn), a veteranconstruction man, with Jim Dugan(Bob Mathias), a young engineerjust hired by the Stcnrud Conslruction Company. After their first ad,'enlure together, the two men winduo fast friends-sharing the LandYacht home and office <lS they mOvefrom job to job.

Original idea for the action Sl'riesas a modern day answer to westeros.Came from Keenan Wynn. UnitedArtists felt this theme would fit in-

to the new scientific age in whichpeople are receptive to adventuresthat depict man building a newworld and meeting the challenge ofharnessing iL~ resources. Again,Airstream filled into the theme withits design and C<>Ilstruction,

Both Wynn and Mathias have insisted that they actually do the woli<depicted in the show. They do drivethe huge machinery and both ofthem have become adept at gradingroads Or manipulating the steam,;hovels. cranes, hoists, drill~ andsteam rollers used on projects inepisodes of the series.

Just as the Caravanncns do, theTroubleshooters take their LandYacht overseas in the scripL Andthe stars will be shown oomlortablyliving and working in Italy or Alaska depending on the location of thestory. Actually, the scenes are being shOI On location in California. But while the rt"l;t of the scene is"dramatic license," the use of theLand Yacht is real. The fact thatthey oould have ice-cubes and refreshing showers alter making thelong, hot, dusty takes, appealed toboth stars as a wonderful bonus andthey have beoome enthusiasts forthe Airstream self-containment features.
