Foundation of Cingular Wireless LLC, known now as AT&T Mobility LLC. 2002 The AT&T Mobility wireless data network began as a Cingular initiative called "PROJECT GENESIS." 2004 The merging of AT&T Wireless Services and Cingular was com- pleted, paving the way for AT&T Wireless to be legally renamed New Cingular Wireless Services, Inc. 2005 AT&T Mobility launched a broadband network known as "BroadbandConnect." In November, AT&T's wireless subscribers of postpaid voice plans enjoyed unlimited night and weekend usage. 2010 MARCH: APRIL: JUNE: JULY: NOVEMBER: AT&T began offering the Motorola Backflip (the company's first smart phone based on Google's Android operating system). AT&T announced its 2nd Android handset, the Dell Aer (a revised ver- sion of the Dell Mini 3). AT&T introduced its HTC Aria. AT&T released the Samsung Captivate.
