STEM in Action™ is an exciting new range of comprehensive hands-on kits bringing Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths to life in Key Stages 1 and 2. Developed to meet the new 2014 English National Curriculum attainment target, each teacher-friendly kit addresses a host of curriculum requirements in science, design & technology and maths as well as introducing geography and building vocabulary. The STEM in Action range provides the primary school teacher with everything they need to start teaching, right out of the box. STEM in Action promotes independent and joint problem-solving, collaborative thinking and co-operative team-work. The progressive project-based range will provide positive experiences and increase interest in STEM from an early age. Solving real-world problems, the Key Stage 2 kits will prepare students for secondary education as they apply maths and science concepts in the context of an engineering challenge. Students gain an understanding of the relevance of contour lines in a fun and interactive way. Through the process students encounter challenging concepts made understandable through practical exercises and will be able to design and develop their own map of the park.
