Memorandum on Friendly Cooperation and Exchangebetween

Foreign Affairs Office, Shanghai Municipal People's GovernmentPeople's Republic of China

Kingdom of Thailand

In order to promote the pragmatic cooperation and exchange between Shanghai,

People's Republic of China, and Bangkok, Kingdom of Thailand, as well as further enhance

the mutual understanding and friendship between the two peoples, the Foreign Affairs

Office of Shanghai Municipal People's Government and the International Affairs Division

of Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (hereby abbreviated as lithe PARTIES")have

reached consensus on the following issues after friendly consultation:

On the basis of existing cooperation and according to the needs of future development,

the parties, in the spirit of friendship, equality and mutual benefit, will facilitate relevant

departments on two sides to conduct mutually beneficial cooperation in business and

trade, infrastructure construction, finance, science and technology, environmental

protection, culture, education, tourism and other areas with the view to promoting

common prosperity.

The parties, on behalf of their governments respectively, will keep in close contact and

have working discussions on exchanges between the two cities.

This Memorandum is signed in Shanghai on December 17, 2012, in duplicate in Chinese,

Thai and English. All texts are of equal authenticity and validity. In case of divergence, the

English text shall prevail.
