in the field of measuring instruments for the develop-ment of an open architecture for utility meters invol-ving communication protocols enabling interoperabilityg p g p y

• Objectives:– to create European standards that will enable interopera-

bility of utility meters (water, gas, electricity, heat), providing a y y ( , g , y, ), p gmeans to raise customers’ awareness of actual consumption in order to allow timely adaptation to their demands (commonly referred to as “smart metering”)
