Transcript of Ateneo Celadon

  • Vision StatementComprised of excellent culturally-oriented leaders rooted in Ignatian values and Chinese-Filipino traditions, Celadon envisions a Chinese-Filipino community geared towards nation-building.

  • Celadon:

Named after a jade-green porcelain crafted by skilled Chinese potters as early as the Shang Dynasty, Celadon is the brainchild of three Filipino-Chinese students who established it on July 17, 1985.The name Celadon was chosen because its namesake served as a symbol of discipline and excellence, traits that the organization wanted to instill in its members.

  • Celadon started out with a modest number of 110 members. In the years that followed, however, its members grew in number, and eventually it became one of Ateneos largest organizations. Today, on its 24th year, Celadon has a total of 378 members and 74 officers.
