First of all, we would like to thank each and everyone of
you, our loyal HCQ customers, and BERNINA, for honoring
us with the title ‘Dealer of the year’ for 2016! Thank you all
very much. We couldn’t have done it without you!
Another year is beginning, and we have some great special events planned to start it off! Angie Steveson with
Lunch Box Quilts is joining us again for a day of fun and laughter. Kim Fauth from ABCD Quilting will share with
us her fabulous techniques using 3 fabrics to create anything from placemats to king size quilts, and Terry, an
OESD educator, is coming to share her knowledge while we play on our machines during our two-day Embroidery
Retreat!
We have also found some wonderful Block of the Months. Daurmont is a warm, wool and cotton Applique
Quilt; Journey’s End features lovely little houses done in Kim Diehl’s new line, and Bird Walk teaches great
techniques using luscious batiks. If you love whimsy and Applique, Quilter’s Patch is the one for you. And last,
but not least, Cotton and Steel uses young, fresh fabric in their first Block of the month.
For you Machine Embroidery lovers, we have two very special offerings. Fresh Blooms by OESD uses rich,
jewel toned Benartex fabric, while Charmed Adventure by Hoopsisters, has a young, upbeat style and includes all
of the quilting! That’s right, when you complete it, it is quilted as well!
Find your favorite chair, relax, and take a moment to see which one of these new classes will inspire your
creativity! We hope to visit with you soon. But until then...
Have a ‘Pieceful’ day,
Jean and Karen
