BROKEN ANGELSPresented by The PlaygroupThis courtroom drama, set in 1920’s Virginia, is an original play based on the true Supreme Court case of Buck v. Bell. Carrie Buck, a young pregnant girl, is sent to the Lynchburg Colony for the Feebleminded, and is the first candidate in Virginia’s new law to have the feebleminded sterilized. Saddled with a court appointed attorney, she faces a roomful of witnesses who are eager to see this new law put into place. part of the annual Shriek Week event in October at Sugar Sand Park Community Center. We are seeking original work; short, spooky films from 3-10 minutes long in three categories: Youth Filmmaker (ages 12-17); Family (one adult plus at least one child 17 and under); and Adult (ages 18 & above). Films must be appropriate for children ages 5-12 years old.
Selected films will be featured online for a chance for everyone to vote on their favorite
film. Selected films will also be shown during our annual Shriek Week event and you will have the
chance to compete for great prizes distributed at an awards ceremony in November!

GILES ROSSI MIXED MEDIA PAINTING AND SCULPTURE Born in Italy and raised in South Florida, Giles strives to push the boundaries and further his own artistic understanding by creating abstract art forms in sculpture, stained glass, painting and drawing. Giles approaches his art an as ongoing experiment of his self.
SIMA FISHER ACRYLIC, OIL AND WATERCOLOR PAINTINGSima’s vibrant, colorful images of florals, animals and scenery are created using different sized brushes, adding texture to her paintings. Featured in magazines and online publications, Sima’s innate ability comes from her spirituality, imagination and child- like freedom of creativity.

TIFFANY BEASI ACRYLIC PAINTINGProfessional painter, muralist, award-winning designer and art director, Tiffany’s lush and vividly colored paintings have been featured in books, outdoor shows, and displayed internationally.
BLAKE PATTERSON HAND CARVED WOODEN BOWLSWith engineering and math degrees, a Ph.D. in physics, time spent in the Peace Corps, and a 20-year career as an orchestral bassoonist, Blake then moved on to become a largely self-taught artist creating unique bowls with intricate geometric designs.
