Discover the Riviera through the eyes of its most famous artists in the company of your driver-guide. Stroll through the winding cobbled streets of Saint-Paul-de-Vence, stopping to browse in the village's many boutiques and galleries and admiring the sweeping views across the countryside to the coast. Visit a fromagerie for a tasting of regional cheeses, or take time for a game of pétanque under the shade of plane trees, then stop for lunch on the terrace of a local brasserie or treat yourself to the cuisine of the world-renowned restaurant, La Colombe d'Or. Begin with a guided walking tour of the perched village of Mougins, renowned as a centre for art and gastronomy. Optionally, take time to visit the magical Mougins Museum of Classical Art, an eclectic private collection ranging from Egyptian sarcophagi and Roman armour to contemporary works by modern masters. Become “Niçoise” in a day, discovering the food, art, culture and wine of this historic city. Spend the morning on a guided walking tour of the famous open-air food and flower market on the Cours Saleya, tasting local specialities such as chickpea socca, savoury pissaladière and hearty pan bagnat (daily except Mondays and Tuesdays). Begin in the charming perched village of Biot, renowned as a centre for art glass and ceramics. Spend the day in the company of your guide discovering the many facets of the famous coastal city of Cannes. Get an early start to the day to browse through the Marché Forville, one of the region’s best food and flower markets. Stroll along the glamorous Croisette, with its palm tree-lined streets, luxury designer boutiques, and legendary Palais des Festivals. Climb the winding cobbled streets to Le Suquet, the old town, to take in the splendid view over the city and Mediterranean sea, then return to port for your 20-minute ferry crossing to the Île Saint-Honorat, the second largest of the Lérins Islands. Take time for lunch by the seaside, then set off on a take a leisurely walk to the abbey itself, passing vineyards and chapels along the way. Owned by Cistercian monks since the 5th century, the monastery complex is also a working vineyard: Be sure to take time for a tasting of the monks’ remarkable wine before returning to shore.

Spend the day discovering the “other” Riviera, just across the border in bella Italia. The Ponant Riviera was once seen as a continuation of the French Riviera, and the seaside town of Bordighera attracted kings and queens from all over Europe. This luxurious 19th century resort still boasts a remarkable collection of elegant villas, hotels, and gardens, each more impressive than the next, while its charming old town sleeps lazily in the sun. After exploring the coastline, drive into the hills of the backcountry to discover the picturesque perched village of Dolceacqua, with its bridge that enchanted Monet, and take time for a leisurely lunch based on local Ligurian specialities. Spend the day following in the footsteps of Vincent Van Gogh as you explore the beautiful Alpilles region. Begin the day with a coffee on the central square of the charming village of Maussane-les-Alpilles, then continue to Les Baux-de-Provence, one of the most beautiful villages in France. Take time to wander through the perched village and to visit the magical Carrières de Lumières, a restored quarry that now serves as the setting for a magical sound-and-light exhibition. Begin with a visit to the archaeological site of Glanum, just outside of Saint-Rémy-de-Provence. Originally a Celtic-Ligurian settlement, it flourished under Greek and later Roman influence to become a wealthy and thriving city. Spend a leisurely hour exploring the ruins, including the mausoleum and triumphal arch, then take time for a stroll and early lunch in Saint-Rémy. After lunch, continue to Arles, a UNESCO World Heritage site; formerly known as Arelate, it was an important city in Roman Gaul. Enjoy a guided visit of the key sites of the city, including the impressive amphitheatre, the Thermae Constantin Roman baths, and the Church of Sainte-Trophime. The second largest delta on the Mediterranean and one of the most protected areas in Europe, the Camargue is home to an astonishing diversity of wildlife. BasicPhrases Phrases like "Bonjour" (Hello), "Merci" (Thank you), "S'il vous plait" (Please) and "Pardon" (Excuse me) are essential. Never walk into a store, restaurant or another place of business without first saying, "Bonjour" to the proprietor, your server or the person at the counter. Failure to do so is seen as a personal affront in France.

Electricity French electricity runs at 220 volts and 50 cycles. Appliances from the US that are not battery-operated will need an adapter and transformer.

Gratuities Generally speaking, tips are included (service compris) in the final bill at

restaurants and cafés (unless the invoice states service non compris). However, it is customary to leave an additional gratuity. The following are suggested tipping guidelines, subject to the quality of service received:

nearest whole figure on the total bill.



RestaurantServer If the service is included but exceeded your expectations, leave 5-10% of the total

considerate way to thank the housekeeping staff.

Concierge If the concierge goes above and beyond with helping you book reservations, giving you directions, and providing insider recommendations, it’s considerate to tip €5 to €10.

Hairdresser/Beautician Tip 10 per cent tip of the total cost.

Shopping Most larger grocery stores and department stores are open from 9 a.m. (or

earlier) until 7 or 8 p.m. (sometimes later in summer). Smaller stores may close during the lunch period, from as early as noon until 2 p.m. or 3 p.m. Many stores are closed on Sunday, while stores that are open through the weekend tend to close on Monday.

Most grocery stores no longer provide shopping bags free of charge. You may

bring your own bags, or purchase paper, plastic, or reusable bags at the store.

Markets Every town and village in France has a specified open-air “market day” during the week, where you can find everything from clothing and household goods to specialty food products and flowers. Check with your hotel or the local tourist office to find out the day of the market where you are staying.

Pharmacies Pharmacies in France carry a large range of prescription and non-prescription

drugs as well as personal care products. Pharmacists in France are highly trained and are an excellent resource for medical advice if a doctor is not available. Most pharmacies are closed on Sundays and many close during the lunch period. However, every town or community is required to have a pharmacie de garde, designated on a rotating basis, that is open on Sundays, holidays, and outside of normal business hours. Lists of the nearest pharmacies de garde are posted in every pharmacy and also available online.



Terms and Conditions

DEPOSITS The payment of a deposit is required in order to reserve any tour or service proposed by Andy Swann Voyage. An itinerary is not considered confirmed until a deposit payment has been made on all tours and services in the itinerary, including guide services.

Unless otherwise specified, a non-refundable initial deposit of 20% of the total

cost of the itinerary is due upon receipt of the Deposit Invoice (or the Invoice if paying in full).

A payment of a deposit indicates an acceptance of all the terms and conditions

below by the purchaser and/or Client.

PAYMENTS All itineraries must be paid in full at least 30 days before the start of the tour or service.

Itineraries booked 30 days or less before the start of a tour or service must be

paid in full at the time of booking; this payment is non-refundable as per the Cancellation and Refund policy below.

For itineraries booked more than 30 days before the start of a tour or service,

where the 20% deposit has already been paid, the payment of the remaining 80% of the total cost of the itinerary must be made at least 30 days before the starting date of the tour or service.

AdditionalFees Unless explicitly stated in the itinerary as pre-paid or included, all tickets,

entrance fees, meals, gratuities and other incidental expenses are the responsibility of the Client and will either be (1) paid by the Client on site or (2) invoiced to the Client upon the completion of travel, with payment due upon receipt of the invoice.

Driver guide services are based on either a half-day rate (up to 4 hours) or a full-

day rate (from 4 hours to a maximum 8 hours). Additional hours are charged at the rate of EUR 150/hour, calculated as full hours from the first 15 minutes of overtime and invoiced to the client upon completion of the service, with payment due upon receipt of the invoice.

Driver services are based on a rate of EUR 150/hour for a minimum of 5 hours.

RESERVATIONS Andy Swann Voyage will make reservations on behalf of the client for third-

party services such as restaurants, yachts and transfers. In order to secure the booking, the client must provide a valid credit card as a guarantee of payment for all requested services.



CANCELLATIONSAND

REFUNDSIn the event of the cancellation of an itinerary by the Client, refunds will be made based on a percentage of the total cost of the tour/itinerary as shown below:

Refunds will under no circumstance be issued to those failing to join their tour,

or for tour accommodation or any other services not utilized, or for a partially completed vacation.

All venue visits and activities proposed in this itinerary are subject to

availability on the date of travel. In the event that a venue visit or activity is not possible on the date/time indicated, Andy Swann Voyage will reschedule the activity or substitute a similar activity

Andy Swann Voyage reserves the right to cancel any tour or service in the event

of force majeur or other circumstances beyond our control. In the event of a cancellation by Andy Swann Voyage, no liability shall fall upon Andy Swann Voyage.

In the case of a cancellation of a service provided by a third-party provider (such

as a restaurant reservation or driver transfer), the client is liable for any cancellation fee imposed by the service provider in addition to any cancellation fee imposed by Andy Swann Voyage.
