ROK TEX® is an industry first pioneering new

granite ROK® material. The surface is textured

which gives the sink a beautiful contemporary

slate effect. In addition metallic particles are

added during the manufacturing process giving

the sink a glisten which is intensified under light.

As well as its stunning good looks ROK TEX®

sinks benefit from a Lifetime Guarantee.

ROK® Metallic is a unique granite material

whereby metallic effect particles are added during

the manufacturing process. The resulting sink

has striking good looks and complements

contemporary kitchen environments. Available

in three colours with all the material benefits

of ROK®.

Granite ROK® sinks are made from the

most advanced material used in the manufacture

of kitchen sinks. They are designed to combine

hard-working performance with stunning

good looks and natural textures of granite.

With real quartz silica particles and a textured

appearance ROK® sinks are available in a variety

of natural colours.

Stainless Steel 18/10 sinks offer long

lasting corrosion resistance and will withstand all

common household acids and detergents.

Ceramic Sinks are individually hand-crafted

Resistance to Thermal ShockExposure to extreme variations in temperature can

sometimes have an adverse effect on the durability of the

sink. Astracast sinks are designed and tested to withstand

repeated cycles of hot and cold liquids without effect.

Impact and Scratch ResistantAstracast sinks are designed to resist everyday knocks and

bumps in the most hectic kitchen, without chipping or

marking. This ensures that the finish of the sink and the

cleaning benefits that go with it remain for the products

life span.

Resistance to ChemicalsAstracast’s materials innovative, molecular, structure

ensures that all sinks are resistant to most commonly used

household chemicals.

Resistance to StainsThe low material porosity denies staining agents the

opportunity to penetrate the surface. Even the worst stains

such as red wine and beetroot are easily wiped away with

a cloth.

Water and Light ResistanceAstracast’s materials are screened by world renowned

The Belfast sink has become a popular

Design and Innovation

When choosing a tap you need to consider the

water pressure available in your home. (See operat-

ing pressures for each tap in the technical specifica-

tions at the back of the brochure). Cold water will

be at mains pressure so is not usually a problem*,

the pressure at which your hot water comes out the

tap is vital and you must note those designs which

require a high pressure to perform well.

Water pressure is measured in the unit bar

(also termed ‘head’) which is the distance from a

presumed water tank to the tap in height ÷10

(1 bar = 10 metres head of water).

If you have a pressurised water heater system then

you will have a minimum amount of pressure

(normally 1.8 bar), which is more than adequate to

provide good flow through most taps.

If you have an un-pressurised system then

you will need to calculate the head of hot water

available to you before looking at our

recommended minimum operating pressure and

making your selection; – taking into consideration

the route, any bends or diversions in the pipework

could reduce the pressure. If needed, contact your

plumber for professional advice.

Pumps to boost water pressure can be purchased

from all good DIY and plumbing retailers, should

your tap of choice require a greater pressure than

your system offers.

*If you live on a higher floor or your water supply

comes from a private supply then check the

minimum hot/cold water supply suitability.

On occasion, depending on the type

of sink and weight of the tap being

fitted, a tap may require additional

support. This product is designed to

reduce the amount of sway of the

tap when it is being used and to

minimise any potential long term

damage to sinks, taps or pipework.

This product is particularly applicable
