How to use your inhaler

Instructions for Using Your Inhaler

Get Ready

1.  Shake the inhaler for 10-30 seconds. Remove the dust cap.

2. Hold the inhaler with your thumb on the bottom and your index finger on top of the canister

3. Slowly breathe in through your nose, and breathe out all the way through pursed lips

4. Hold the mouthpiece of the inhaler about two inches in front of your open mouth. It may help to do this in front of a mirror. Inhale Slowly, Press Inhaler

5. Breathe in slowly through your mouth while pressing the top of the canister with your index finger. Take in as deep a breath as possible. Hold Your Breath

6. Hold your breath for 5-10 seconds.

7. Slowly breathe out through pursed lips.

8. Wait 1-5 minutes between puffs.

Repeat if needed.
