Working Memory to Long-term Memory

• This is where we spend most of our learning time. It is where we deal with new information and begin to solve problems using information.

• It is limited BUT information that is used from long term memory can be used for free!

• Memory leaks after hours/days unless it has been properly placed into long term memory.

• Cognitive psychology has a huge evidence based approach to help us understand what strategies work and which do not work.
