The Coherence Map can help identify gaps in student knowledge, illustrate
how supporting and additional cluster standards connect with the Major
Work of the Grade, and provide direction for educators looking to design
more coherent math instruction for their students.
The tool is a dynamic version of Jason Zimba's Wiring Diagram. Now
educators can easily search for a particular grade-level standard and
instantly see how it connects to other standards within and across
grades. Additional resources for each standard support deeper
understanding by offering materials like exemplar student tasks or
assessments, the language of the Math Progressions, and the Focus
documents.
