Assignment

1) Marriage Law: pursuant to the Articles 7 and 8 of the Constitution of State of

Cambodia (SOC), the purpose of the Law on Marriage and Family is to regulate and

protect the marriage and family, to ensure equality of the spouses in marriage and

family, to strengthen the responsibility of the parents in raising up and taking care of

their children, and to promote the moral and educational development of children to

become good citizen imbued with a sense of responsibility for the nation and society,

and the love of work depend on Khmer traditional. (Art 1 of Family Law)

2) Divorce Law: a divorce is the legal termination of a marriage between a husband and

wife who have been legitimately married and they are both still alive depend on

Khmer traditional. (Art 38 of Family Law)

3) Abortion Law: See on Law on Abortion. It can abort or cannot abort; you need keep

in Khmer Traditional.

4) Family Law: this law was established to protect members in your family.

5) Succession Law: all persons can get property from their family.

6) Contract Law: two parties created the contract.

7) Labor Law: this law protects the employee and workers.

8) Domestic Violence Law: to keep security for family violence abuse.

9) Migration Law: the law protect the person

10) Trafficking and Sexual Exploitation (TSE) Law: to protect about traffic the person

11) Land ownership and other property rights Law: rights to carry the land

12) Sales Contracts: contract of sellers

13) Lease Contracts: contract of renters

14) Law on respect for and care of one’s parents: children have the duty to take care of

their elderly parents in accordance with Khmer tradition (Art 47 of the Constitution

states)

15) Customary International Law: those aspects of international law that derive

from custom.
