Goodfellas Opening Titles

• Bold white font used as it contrasts with the clear black background therefore standing out well for viewers.

• Titles presented before the opening sequence begins to illustrate the serious nature of the film, being an R-rated gangster classic, ‘based on a true story’.

• There is only the sound of a vehicle driving as this is presented, helping to establish the upcoming sequence.

Zodiac Opening Titles

• The font is faded and words do no not have capital letters, reinforcing the enigmatic coded letters of the Zodiac killer.

• Titles presented after the opening scene as the audiences are first presented to the antagonist without the disruption of titles.

• The faded white colour helps signify and illustrate something from the past as the film is based on the story of the Zodiac killer.

Terminator 2 Judgment Day Opening Titles

• The writing is White, bold and placed centrally, illustrating the significance of the named people to the audience.

• The font has a robotic look to it, reinforcing the involvement of machines, yet looks suitable and smart.

• Very few titles are presented, the sequence quickly transitions to the introduction of the antagonist.
