    1. Reconstruct the following figures and provide the dimensions (mm): [4]

    2. Construct a regular heptagon with each side having a length of 5 cm, also construct another regular

    heptagon inscribed inside a circle of radius cm. [4]

  • 3. A generating circle of radius 25 mm rolls along the circumference of another larger circle (directing

    circle) of radius 100 mm. If the generating circle rolls inside the directing circle, draw the locus of a

    point on the circumference of the generating circle after four complete revolution of the generating

    circle. [4]

    4. Construct a Volute around an equilateral triangle with each side having a length of 30 mm. [4]

    5. An athlete was asked to slide down a rope tied to a beam at a height 8 m above the ground. He takes

    5 second to slide down with uniform velocity. During the sliding action the rope oscillates like a

    pendulum in a vertical plane. At the beginning of descent the rope is perpendicular to the ground (the

    neutral position), and during the oscillation the rope travels an angular distance of 20o to each side of

    its neutral position. If one complete oscillation is obtained in 5 seconds, draw the path traced by the

    athlete (assumed to be a point) during his descent. [4]
