Communicative Goal: Talking about likes and dislikes. Grammar focus: I like/ I don’t like Vocabulary focus: fish, cheese, chicken. Recycled language: hungry, bear, elephant, tiger, snake, bird, monkey, can, can’t Activation (5 min) The teacher will show a poster of different animals. She will elicit their abilities from the students and will ask about their habits: e.g: Where do they live? What do they eat? They will answer: They eat leaves or fruit. Comprehension and clarification: (15 min) T will ask the students to open their books at page 40. T will ask if they see any animal in the pictures. Then, she will ask if the students know the characters. Then, she will ask what they can see in the picture. After that, she will ask some students to act the dialogue between Arthur and Merlin aloud. Then, T will elicit the examples from the book by asking the students to read the bubble from picture n°4. Then, students have to read the bubble from picture n°1. The teacher will write on the board and paste a happy face and a sad face. =) =( I like chicken I don’t like bread and cheese.

Activation (5 min)

The T will write on the board the word: Argentinian Food. Then, she will brainstorm all the items of food that belong to our country.

Comprehension and clarification: (15 min)

The T will draw part of each of the item of food, so as Ss can guess what item it is. Once the Ss guess (probably they will say the word in Spanish) the T will tell them the word in English, she will write the name of the food next to each item on the board, and will ask Ss to complete her drawing on the board. So as to end up this part, she will ask Ss “What do you like?” referring to the items they have already seen.

Then they will listen to the song twice. The first time just to get an idea of the song. the second time, they will sing it with the teacher.

Activation (5 min) The T will show the Ss pictures of food and she will divide the board into two columns, on the one hand will say HEALTHY FOOD =) and on the other hand UNHEALTHY FOOD =(. So she will ask Ss to come to the board and classify the food according to if they are healthy or unhealthy. If necessary, she will clarify these concepts before.

Comprehension and clarification: (19 min)

The T will ask Ss to look at the dialogue between Merlin and Arthur on page 40. The T will elicit the examples from the book by asking the Ss to read the question in the bubbles from picture N° 2 and 3. Then, the T will write them on the board and will elicit the communicative goal by asking the Ss “What are we expressing here?” She will write that on the board.
