In Week 3, we asked you• What is it like to participate in an online

course? • What are the barriers to participation?

At the time, you said:

• online courses are easier to access as you don't have travel time. Unfortunately it always seems really hard to keep that as protected time

• great not having to physically go to another venue

• Barrier: Avoiding office distractions• website is a bit complicated, quite a lot

of links and webspace. Updates may easily be missed

• Convenient - have been able to fit it in even around v busy marking period

• More self-discipline is needed for an online course, perhaps?
