Sutton Trust U.S Programme

My name is Robbie McGregor and I am Programme Manager at the United States Consulate General in Edinburgh. It’s that time of the year again to let you know that one of our favorite educational exchange programme’s, the Sutton Trust U.S. Programme, in association with the U.S.-UK Fulbright Commission, is now open for applications for summer 2018! The Sutton Trust U.S. Programme provides high-achieving, state school students a taste of life at a top-tier American university. Focusing on social mobility, the Sutton Trust U.S. Programme is aimed at students from low or middle income families who would be the first generation in their family to go to university. The initiative is centered on a one-week summer school at a leading American university, with introductory events and application support in the UK before and after. Previous host campuses have included Harvard, Yale, and MIT. The Sutton Trust is looking for S5 students who earned six or more As or Bs in their S4 qualifications, or close to this.
