• Hundreds of young people travel from across the country to attend weekly

• Preparation for future study at higher education level

• Curriculum mirrors that of the degree courses with an emphasis on master classes, professional partnerships, flexibility and self-reflection

Short Courses

• Programme of over 200 short courses for children, young people and adults in dance, drama, music, production and screen

• Youngest participant is 14 months old; oldest is 84

• Range from intensive weekend classes, weekly evening courses to spring and summer schools – 1044 summer school participants in 2015

• Includes audition preparation courses, credit-rated qualifications and professional development opportunities

• Credit rated short courses, online, distance and blended learning programme so students from all over the world can learn with us

• Offers up to 150 hours of fully- funded tuition in dance, drama, music, production and screen

• Provides opportunities for students to access courses at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and prepare them for future study in higher education

• Supports talented young people and adults living in key post code areas across Scotland

• Provides a range of additional supports and is made possible by the generous support of the Scottish Funding Council

Entry Requirements - Music

BMus –

Highers: 3 passes

Recommended subjects: Music and English. For vocalists, study of two foreign languages

BEd –

Highers: A in Higher Music plus three others at BBC, one of which

must be Higher English; and Maths at either National 5, Standard

Grade 2, or Intermediate 2 at grade C or above.

A Levels: B in music plus two additional A-levels at C. English

Language and Literature at GCSE level grade C, and Maths at GCSE

level Grade B.

BA Acting, BA (Hons) Contemporary Performance Practice, BA Musical Theatre, BA Digital Film and Television, BA Production Technology and Management and BA Production Arts and Design -

• 2 references required – 1 Academic and 1 Practical

• References are submitted separately from application and

can be submitted after the deadline but should be received before the audition/interview
