�R esilient .050” thick high-pressure plastic laminate is

enwrapped with a slightly radiused solid hardwood

band. The long and/or front edges of display tables,

index tables, PAC tables and all carrels receive a 3⁄4” x 15⁄8” external band.

Rectangular reading tables feature 23⁄4” x 11⁄4” edge

bands along the short sides (square reading tables

along all sides), and 3⁄8” x 11⁄4” bands along the long.

Circular reading tables receive a 1⁄4” x 11⁄4” edge band.

Work surfaces of tables and carrels may be fitted

with 3” diameter grommets and with various electrical

options including steel J-channels for wire maintenance.

�C lean lines and a classic pilaster-and-

rail design are hallmarks of the Aspen

collection’s Mission styling. The solid

hardwood panel bases of rectangular

reading tables, for example, feature two

square legs and five vertical pilasters

buttressed between two horizontal rails.

All other end panels in the Aspen range are solid;

three vertical hardwood pilasters are inset against a

grade “A” veneered face. A 13⁄4” x 21⁄2” eased

hardwood edge frames each panel, their horizontal

members overlapping the vertical.

Back panels and mid panels are grade “A”

veneered particleboard. All external edges receive an

eased solid hardwood band, and shelves feature the

added detail of a solid hardwood valence. Back panels

end 3” above the floor.

S E AT I N G

�S ide chairs and armchairs boast solid hardwood

frame construction with slightly radiused edges.

Their classic vertical slat-back design is assembled

using mortise and tenon joints. Solid hardwood seats

are slightly saddled for

comfort; upholstered seats

feature 11⁄2” thick firm grade

foam.
