If you can keep your head when all about you   

    Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,

Adolf Hitler, offered Dhyan Chand a higher post in the German Army than the one he was holding in the Indian Army. but he politely denied the offer.

RECOGINITIONS

For his extra-ordinary services to the nation, the Government of India celebrates Dhyan Chand’s birthday (29th of August) as National Sports Day.

The Indian Postal Service issued a postage stamp in his memory, and the Dhyan Chand National Stadium at New Delhi has been named after him .

He was honored by the Padma Bhushan award by the Government of India in the year 1956.

Viswanathan "Vishy" Anand is an Indian chess Grandmaster and former World Chess Champion.

He held the FIDE World Chess Championship from 2000 to 2002

Saina Nehwal is an Indianbadminton player who is currently ranked No.1 in the world by Badminton World Federation Women's Singles 2015.  She is the first Indian to win a medal in Badminton at the Olympics.  She achieved this feat by winning the Bronze medal at the London Olympics 2012 on 4 August 2012

Abhinav Singh Bindra is an Indian shooter and is a World and Olympic champion in the 10 m Air RI event.

By winning the gold in the 10 m Air Rifle event at the2008 Beijing Olympics became the first Indian to win an individual gold medal at the Olympic Games

Sushil Kumar Solanki  is an Indian World Champion wrestler who won the gold medal in the 66 kg freestyle competition at the FILA2010 World Wrestling Championships, a silver medal in the Men's 66kg Freestyle Wrestling

an Indian amateur golfer who is the winner of theJunior World Golf Championships in 2015. Jaglan is also World Record holder, 9 under in Classic Junior Open, 2012 and is recipient of the "NDTV – Emerging Player" and "Margdarshan" awards. Shubham has won over 100 domestic and international tournaments.
