APGCE 2019 THEME:FRESH IDEAS, NEW FRONTIERAs the world’s oil & gas industry undergoes profound changes, pushing the limits of

technology, strategy and commercial models and paradigms to meet global energy

The position of geosciences at the forefront of this industry provides the capacity to

exploring uncharted territories, expanding our frontiers inevitably exacerbates risks

and uncertainties. The industry’s best practices combined with the e�ciencies o�ered

by the rapidly evolving digital generation are required to spearhead an Exploration &

Production transformation at all levels.

“Fresh Ideas” are expected to unlock oil and gas potential that was not considered

possible. “New Frontiers” will be the manifesto of such potential. APGCE 2019 invites

CONFERENCE PROGRAMME

This four-day pre-conference field trip will o�er participants an

insight to the setting of modern reef systems of Pulau Seribu. This

field trip will provide details of the sedimentology and

components of carbonate sediment and reef building organisms

specific to Kepulauan Seribu, which are typical reefs within the

region.

Proper understanding on depositional environment and facies

variation in carbonate rock is an important aspect of the study.

Carbonate reservoir’s properties are the direct results of their

depositional fabric and diagenesis process. Hence, the proposed

fieldworks aims to provide an opportunity for participants to

enhance their knowledge on carbonate depositional

environments, sedimentary facies and related secondary

processes that controls and gives character to the carbonate

reservoir’s properties.
