I loved this course. Professor Mayo was very good. This course was hard to understand. The instructor was awesome, and was very helpful, but the material was hard to understand.I have enjoyed this course and I think that professor Mayo is one of the best. Absolutely. Aloha! Professor Mayo was a very involved leader. This class was positively challenging! But Professor Mayo was a fair grader and pushed us to understand the material further. The instructor was great, however, the book was quite long and vaguely covered the topics which we discussed and wrote about in assignments. I had to research the required topics on the internet because the book, though informative, did not cover them.I have learned a lot about the political system. It was very informative and Professor Mayo challenged us with each discussion making it fun to delve further into each one. I do see where this will be helpful through out my future. I would definitely recommend this course to other students and Professor Mayo as well.

This was the best government class I have ever had to privilege to study and learn from. Prof Mayo was an amazing teacher who went above and beyond the learning material to provide better insight and critical thinking skills. The final assignment dealt with real world issues and I learned a vast amount from Prof Mayo and the course. If he teaches any other classes, sign me up!

Professor Mayo is an extremely articulate and intelligent instructor!!! Great instructor enjoyed the course.I went into this class thinking that I would not like it and actually found out that I really enjoyed it. I learned alot while in this class. Great class!I feel as though I have a better understanding of the American Government and how each branch operates and what their constitutional responsibilities are.Prof. Mayo, I deserving of commendations on his teaching approach. He is the first of my professors to stay abreast of every students discussion and assignments without the aid of an assistant. He always responded to discussion posts at an early time, his papers were graded within two days of submission, and his feed back was detailed and concise. I was very impressed with how the course went. I generally avoid government simply because it bores me half to death. However, Instructor Mayo was able to help me see how the government and economy work with one another and because I am planning on continuing my education in Economics after I get my A.A., it was very beneficial. He was absolutely the best instructor I have ever had, not only for the reasons above, but because he got me interested in government. The text book may be valuable after I graduate, depending on what my focus in economics is.The class was a delight and the Professor was of excellent knowledge of the material. I truly enjoyed this class. It was difficult at times but Professor Mayo was by far the best instructor I have had yet. Very, very involved with the class in the discussion forums and gave multiple feedback, often asking us to look something else up to answer another question. I learned so much in this class because Professor Mayo knew how to take the students to the next level and understand more clearly what we were discussing. Since i had to retake this course and am hoping to pass it this time, this time around the instructor seemed to be more interactive with the students.I really enjoyed this class and the instructor was great!Prof. Mayo was a awesome teacher, and really did a great job. My only problem with this course was the textbook. It shows a clear bias towards the left. I am not a conservative, more center right, but I do want both sides of the story when learning. I can find hundreds of peer reviewed papers that contradicted what was in the text book, and the text book should have given both sides of the story. I loved this class. Professor Meyo was excellent. He made comments on my postings and asked more questions in them. I actually received my grades on a Tuesday of the following week! Most of my past instructors gave grades 2 or 3 weeks later, when they were of no use to me. The instructor, course material, discussions were just what I needed. The written assignment was difficult at first, I think it was very necessary, and I learned a lot from the class as a whole, I enjoyed every step. No responses to questions other than contact the instructor. I attended Kennedy Western University and they had more interaction from the professor than I have had here. The English Proficiency Exam and the Palagiarism Quiz was tough, but I made it somehow. And I hope to get my reflective paper done right. I also love the feedback that I receive. Both instructors were very helpful. I was not sure what to think about on-line courses. I usually learn a lot from the classroom but am not able to go that route right now. I had a hard time in the class and this professor has not been like NONE of the other ones that I have had.. He did not want to help that much and I didnt learn much in this class and on top of that I have failed this class and I have not gotten a grade this low the hole time I have been a student hereMichael Mayo is a fantastic instructor. He makes learning an enjoyable experience. He is an asset to Ashford University. There should be more instructors like him. He was wonderful in answering all of my questions and in his own participation within the class discussions. He is the BEST!!!!!To be honest, I was not too thrilled that this was a required class. But in the end I did learn a lot and am glad that I took the class. Michael Mayo was terrific! He took part in discussion boards, and, he provided relevent material from sources outside of the usual presribed texts, etc. This extra effort on his part made this class very, very interesting.the instructor was a tough grader and when i would ask about why i might of been deducted points he would never give me an answer that would help me better my grades-however, overall this was a good instructor Mike was very thorough and interacted with all of the students. He also gave further information and tied current events into the learning. He was an excellant teacher! I highly recommend him and this course.

Overall, I enjoyed the course, but I feel the grade that received was not fair. I worked very hard in this course as I did in all of the others.
