1925 Levis T3 21112 Pre 1950 LightweightBike Details: Levis were manufactured by Butterfields of Birmingham, for many years one of England's

leading manufacturers of two-stroke motorcycles.

1926 AJS G6 TT Replica 34830 Pre 1950 Competition / SpecialBike Details: Factory built 'Racer on the Road' replica of the works TT Race bikes, for private owners as a

race and fast road machine. Based on a G6 'Big Port' using catalogued race parts to produce a road-going replica of the works TT race machines.The 349cc 'Big-Port' AJS was the most successful race machine of the twenties, even winning the 500cc Senior TT in 1921.This example was raced when new into the 1930's and retained its original, very apt, Devon registration number when restored in 2005. Since restoration, it's been used on club runs, hill climbs, sprints and events at Brooklands museum and Kop Hill Climb.A twist-grip throttle and ball-ends to the levers were fitted to comply with modern ACU competition regulations.

original documents include a tax disc, handbook and the original delivery label, which was tied to the handlebars by the Triumph factory!

on the road every year since then, and the mileage is estimated at 150,000 miles. The previous owner used it on many a continental rally, and had been a member of The Motorcycle Touring Club since 1939.Acquired by the current owner last year, it's been tidied up a little but otherwise it's 'as is' and will remain so.First time at this show.

owner over the last two years.

change. It was the first James model to use a swinging arm. First time at this show for this popular 1950's runabout.

1956 Mobylette AV32S 4921 1950-59 Lightweight OverseasBike Details: Unused since 1988, the original registration is now on a Scania truck. The last 18 months

have been spent fully restoring to OE spec. Lots of parts were handmade by the owner, and the wheels and hubs were rebuilt and refurbished by the owner. The engine and clutch were fully reconditioned, and the paintwork and pin-striping was done by the owner. First time at this show.

1957 Francis-BarnetFalcon 74 19782 1950-59 LightweightBike Details: Found in a coal shed in a rough state. Restored by the present owner and now regularly

ridden. Has also completed Brooklands Test Hill.

1958 Ariel Square Four 10045 1950-59Bike Details: First time at this show for this top of the range machine.

1958 Ariel Huntmaster 65075 1950-59Bike Details: First registered on 1st October 1958, this is the Export Sport model in glamour red and with

7.25 compression ratio. It was delivered to Writers Ltd in Kennington Lane, London SE11 in March 1958 and had its third owner in 1977.

1958 BSA Bantam D5 175104 1950-59 LightweightBike Details: Bought five years ago, it needed a full restoration. It was a non-runner, and appeared to have

a suffered an electrical fire. It was restored over two years, with many new parts and refurbished old parts fitted. With Bayard Crimson and cream paintwork, this is one of the rarer Bantam models. The D5 was only made during 1958, with only around 5,000 produced.

version of the Thunderbird. The engine output: was 42 bhp compared to the Thunderbird's 34 bhp.

in 1989 by my Dad, who had one in 1959. This is a ride to work machine, it's a very comfortable bike with good handling. The bike has completed quite a lot of miles and has had quite a few engine rebuilds and refurbishments. The most recent involved restored paintwork by Dave the Paint and alterations to the centre stand stop.In the same family for over 30 years. Norman are our local make, made in Beaver Road, Ashford.

1961 Matchless / P&CSR Turned Hea 650109 1960-69 Competition / SpecialBike Details: 'The Throwback' - this is a 1980-styled Arlen Ness lowrider. The frame is by Dave Batchelor of

'P&D'. Paint by Keith Baker of Classic Cycleworks.

1962 Ariel Arrow Super Sp 25024 1960-69 LightweightBike Details: This bike was previously on the road up until 1978. After that, it languished in a printer's

warehouse for many years until bought by the current owner in 2003. It was in a sorry state, very rusty with a seized engine and gearbox, missing hard-to-find gearbox chrome cover, a stripped clutch, missing exhaust system and rotted seat. It took 4 years to restore between 2004 and 2007, and was back on the road in 2008. Some welding was required to the beam frame and the rear chaincase, another rare item. The original hubs were retained and built into new rims. Converted to 12V electric system with electronic ignition, regulator and halogen lighting.

1962 Triumph TR6 Trophy 6503 1960-69Bike Details: Production of the TR6 Trophy started in 1956.

1962 Triumph TR6 SS 65043 1960-69Bike Details: The Trophy was a successful model for Triumph, particularly in the US.

1963 Triumph Tiger 110 650213 1960-69Bike Details: Brought home from the Isle of Wight in 2014 and restored to its present condition. Three

owners since new, ridden whenever the suns shines!

1964 Hagon-JAP Grasstrack Race 50096 1960-69 Competition / SpecialBike Details: Previously owned and raced by Charlie Sharp from Ramsgate as a member of Invicta MCC,

riding number 155. The bike was purchased brand new from Alf Hagon, minus the JAP engine which pre-dates the frame. Completely restored in 2016. The engine is of unknown vintage.

1967 AJS Sapphire Sport 25034 1960-69 LightweightBike Details: This is the last of the lightweight singles, produced to keep up with the Japanese machines

that were beginning to dominate the market in the mid 1960s.

1967 BSA Bantam 17411 1960-69 LightweightBike Details: Popular lightweight two-stroke.

1967 BSA C15 SS80 25014 1960-69 LightweightBike Details: The bike was acquired in December 2014 as a fully restored C15, but it was discovered to be

an SS80, the sports version of the C15. However, it took most of 2015 for the owner to put right the bodges, too many to list! It cost around £1200 to put it right. It is now a very pleasant and reliable bike, nice to ride, a good bike for the country lanes.

1967 BSA A65 Thunderbolt 65039 1960-69Bike Details: BSA A65 Thunderbolt in Factory Police Spec. This was finished in white, originally intended for

the police, but the order was cancelled. Restored over the past 10 years from an unrecognisable state, first time at this Show.

1967 BSA Bantam D10 Sp 17594 1960-69 LightweightBike Details: Popular two-stroke lightweight.

1967 BSA Bantam Cafe Ra 150205 1960-69 Competition / Special LightweightBike Details: In cafe race trim.

Morley by the previous owner it was fitted with a 500 Triumph engine & had been registered for the road but unfortunately with a 1978 registration number.

1969 Honda CB750/4 K0 7501 1960-69 OverseasBike Details: Restored five years ago, the engine by Steve Courtney CBX Maestro and the paint by ART

Motorcycles. First time at this show.

1969 Honda CB750 K0 75076 1960-69 OverseasBike Details: 1969 was the first year of manufacture of this model. Bought from an imported in 2014, it had

been in a US junk yard and was in a bit of a mess to say the least! It was seized, fitted with Ape hanger bars, long forks, a 16" Harley rear wheel and straight-through slash cut pipes. Best Heavyweight at our Ardingly South of England Show in April 2017.Fortunately most of the correct parts for the K0 model were still on it, and the current owner has done all the work you can see, except for the chroming, plus a total engine refurb.

1969 Honda CB 750 750103 1970-79 OverseasBike Details: This Honda CB750 motorcycle, UUT 849H bears the chassis number CB750 1010369. This is

the number allocated on the production line in October 1969 to the very first CB750 produced in Japan for the UK market.It was delivered as one of the first batch of CB750s and sold by Ken Ives Motorcycles of Leicester. It was first registered in January 1970.This very motorcycle is the first Japanese four-cylinder mass production motorcycle made for the UK and the first full production motorcycle for the UK market to feature a disc brake.

1969 Metisse BSA B25 Scrambler 24997 1960-69 Competition / SpecialBike Details: This is a later MkIV Metisse which was first introduced in 1967. Now 50 years old, the bike is

raced regularly in Classic Motocross events.

1969 Triumph Trophy TR6C 65069 1960-69Bike Details: Imported from the states in 2005, the engine was rebuilt in 2009.

1970 Honda CB750/4 K1 75031 1970-79 OverseasBike Details: This is a USA import with just over 19,000 miles on the clock. Not in bad condition for an

unrestored 49 year old bike.

1970 Honda CB750 750107 1970-79 OverseasBike Details: Purchased from the second owner who owned the bike from 1971.

1970 Triumph T100S 50017 1970-79Bike Details: Essentially, development on the 500cc Triumph models ended in 1970, by which time the

T100S was the best option and was considered to be 'the one to look out for!'. Minor mods for the owner's pleasure.

1970 Triumph T120 Bonneville 65073 1970-79Bike Details: Manufactured on 11th and 12th August 1970 as a UK specification T120 R Bonneville. This

makes it one of the last pre-oil-in-frame UK Specification bikes to be made.The bike was shipped on 13th August to Atherton & Co, the Triumph export agent for India and Pakistan in Liverpool, luckily the 13th was not a Friday! I acquired this bike in March 2002 as a restoration project.Every part of the bike has been stripped down, cleaned, inspected, painted, restored r replaced. The only parts of the engine/gearbox that were OK were the crankcases and chaincase, and even the chaincase needed welding. Everything else in the engine/gearbox was replace! It started first kick once restored.

1972 Honda CB 750 K2 750102 1970-79 OverseasBike Details: This is a very early example of the K2 version of the classic sohc CB750, in the definitive

Candy Gold of seventies Honda. This bike has led an unusual life & has covered just 1400 miles from new. The first owner was involved in off-shore powerboat racing.The first real Superbike from Japan, this bike was every schoolboy's dream.

1979 CCM MX 250 25051 1970-79 Competition / SpecialBike Details: Classic British twin-shock Scrambler, with 250cc two-stroke single. Only 8 were ever made by

CCM, this is No 6 and has been with the same owner since 1981,

1980 Triumph Bonneville T140 75020 1980 OnBike Details: This bike was a barn find years ago at Hammerwood, near East Grinstead. It was a totally

rusty non-runner. It took two years to rebuild, and came third in the Edenbridge 2018 Best Bike in show.First time at this Show.

1982 Suzuki Katana 1000sz 99716 1980 On OverseasBike Details: This bike was registered as new in the UK on 1st March 1982. Purchased by the current

owner on 2nd October 1988 after looking for one for five years - 'my dream come true!'. Kept in totally original condition by the owner, even down to the paintwork, which is showing its age. Nothing has been replaced anywhere on this machine, just the usual tyres and batteries. Ridden very hard in all weather conditions where possible. It is very fast and an easy bike to ride as it weighs in at 525 lbs fully fuelled up.

1988 Suzuki GSX 400X Impul 40052 1980 On OverseasBike Details: Made only for the JDM market, this 400/4 DOHC 16 valve redlines at 13,000rpm and is one of

the original pocket rockets, often referred to as a "naked baby Katana". It's a little screamer, oil-cooled, water-cooled and air-cooled, fitted with Siamese carbs it produces 59 bhp as standard.
