Objectives
ASEAN Bioeconomy Cooperation
1) Platform for ASEAN economies to share knowledge and best practices
on policy strategies, actions and joint activities to promote innovation
of Bioeconomy for economic sustainability.
2) Encourage Bioeconomy collaborations interfacing both public and
private sectors of ASEAN economies every year to strengthen dialogue
among governments, academia and businesses.
3) Bioeconomy as the innovative ecosystem to address cross-cutting
issues in the ASEAN region which include environmental sustainability,
food security and affordable healthcare.
There is yet to have a coherent effort to stimulate collaborative opportunities for ASEAN
Bioeconomy. This forum is proposed to discuss on the possibility of cooperation among
ASEAN economies with the following objectives:

Develop effective policies and innovative strategies.
Maximising economies bio-based resources for high value products.
Tackle global issues such as energy and environmental conservation, food security and affordable healthcare.
Scientific Academia, Industry and Business Communities
International Organisations
Reduce gaps between policymakers, industries and academics/research communities.
Expand human capital and opportunities in the development of bio-based technologies and resources.
Facilitate new technology breakthroughs and commercialisation.
