VoIP and Traditional Communications Recording

ASC´s integrated communicationsrecording solution works with the OmniPCX Enterprise telephone system, a productcombining VoIP and traditional telephonyfor medium and large-sized enterprises.

The Communications Recording Solution for Alcatel-Lucent uses ASC’s communi-cations recording systems, MARATHON EVOLUTION and MARATHON EVOLUTION XXL as well as its software-only VoIP recor-ding solution EVOip. It provides the per-fect solution for liability recording in public safety organizations, financial institutions and contact centers when all customer in-teractions must be preserved. It operates with both analog and digital phones, inclu-ding cordless DECT and IP phones.

ASC’s flexible solution offers selective orbulk recording. It stores call-index datasuch as extension number, agent ID, dateor time. Search-and-replay of the calls isfacilitated by user-friendly, browser-basedapplications on a client PC or by phone.

Network-wide Recording

The OmniPCX Enterprise architecture works with Alcatel-Lucent DR-link (dedicatedrecording link), a secure interface tosupport voice recording. The DR-link andthe Alcatel -Lucent TSAPI server facilitatethe transfer of audio data from the user‘stelephone system to the PBX, where therecorder is connected via a PCM 2 card.The DR-link works with all current phonesets supporting the CSTA protocol.

The DR-link can be used to connect onecentral communications recorder forseveral Alcatel-Lucent OmniPCXs in ahomogeneous network. For a networkwith multiple locations, only one mainrecording unit is required since calls willbe recorded at a central site, both forthe user’s convenience and to save onhardware costs. This capability is unique inthe communications recording market.

Call-Index Data

The ASC CTI Server uses RecordingInterface Applications (RIA) to transfer call-index data to the recorder (see chart). RIAtags audio data with additional parametersfor fast and efficient searching of archivedcalls.

Increased Capacity with DynamicRecording Mode

The dynamic recording mode enables therecording of multiple channels by activating channels only when needed. This “dynamic recording channel assignment“ saves onhardware and ownership costs by usingfewer channels.

Large organizations may focus on recording a subset of users by temporarily designating their terminals. In doing so, they maymonitor a different group each day whilesaving on channels per agent and thenumber of licenses required.

Selective and Flexible Recording

ASC‘s Communications Recording Solution for Alcatel-Lucent allows selective recording by monitoring pre-determined extensions or using CTI to create rules-based criteria.

Recordings maybe scheduled by user- defined profiles using categories such as time, day, and incoming or outgoing phone number.

ASC’s quality management software, INSPIRATIONpro, may be used to create lists of agents for selective recording. Individual agents may be added or removed as desired.
