As we enter February, we celebrate “Black History Month”, so this Tip will look at some resources to explore writers of African-American descent. Using “Advanced Search”, you can limit your search to writers of a certain ethnicity—in this case, African –Americans…

If you don’t have a specific author in mind, you can select the writer of interest from an alphabetical list.

Results can include biographical information, critical sources, and primary materials. This database includes poems and short stories as well.
