THE STORY

Rosslyn Property is a niche commercial property consultancy dealing with the letting, sale and acquisition of industrial and commercial premises and land across Scotland.

Stephen St Clair set up the business by himself in January 2015, after an illustrious career at Knight Frank and CBRE. He already used CoStar products in his previous roles, but as a sole-practitioner CoStar Suite has given him the edge to build his business.

When I set up, subscribing to CoStar Suite was a consideration because who knows how much income you’re going to get, and it was an outgoing right from the outset, but I felt it was a must.

I had used the product and relied upon it in my previous jobs, and I knew that if I wanted to be working with the same clients and doing the same business, I had to be able to provide the same level of service. It very quickly proved to have been a worthwhile investment.

Don’t get me wrong, you still make the telephone calls, but you are checking and verifying things, you are asking people specific questions rather than “what have you been up to?”. So I would say that’s the big difference: it just makes you more efficient.
