As-salamou alikoum w/A w/b
Set back and relax
I have a story to tell you
This Ramadan…We took a trip
It was a long one
First: In Frankfurt Airport, I had to keep up with my brother in law
Then, I changed into Ihram cloth
I suppose that is not common in Germany
In Umra, sometimes you have to walk
And, sometimes you have to Jog
When the crowd pushed
I could not push them back
When the elders held me back
I dared not push my way through
I gave up my hair, a little by little
Because of the crowd, It is better to get to the Grand Masjid before Maghrib
And stay inside until you finish Taraweeh
My Iftar was meatless and rice-less
But, Allah sent: The coffee crew
Then my Iftar was A-OK
Then, the cleaning crew came in
And everything was as good as new
Usually, lines are straight throughout the MasjidBut not in this one
Why lines are not straight?
Hint
Sometimes, I had to read while standing up
Because I got tired of reading while setting down
We still got a “Halal” taste from “home”
Even though we were over 6000 miles a way.
And, you know what happens, sometimes
It was HOT
It was crowded
And, we were, you know, fasting
BUT
ALHAMDOU-LILLAH
I made it
We made it
They made it
By the way, here are some pictures
