ARTS, COMMEREC AND SCIENCE COLLEGE KIRAN NAGAR, AMRAVATI
COLLEGE RESEARCH COMMITTEE
ANNUAL REPORT for 2018-19
The institute has created a niche for itself in research activities. The faculty and
students of the institute are actively involved in research. The annual Report of the CRC is
presented here below.
A. Contribution of Departments/Faculty in Research Activities
Miss. Madhuri Chikhlakar, Asst. Professor, Department of English, submitted her
PhD thesis for the award of PhD degree.
Mr. Paritosh D. Dolas and Miss. Priti B. Deshmukh received PhD degree (from Sant
Gadge Baba Amravati University, Amravati) under the supervision of Dr. V.D.
Sharma, HOD, Department of Mathematics.
Dr. A.U. Bajpayee, Asst. Professor, Department of Physics has presented the
research paper, entitled, “Structural Studies Calcium doped Lead Titanate” in
National Conference on Emerging Trends in Science held on 1-2 February 2019 at
Vidyabharti Mahavidyalaya Amravati M.S. India.
As per the guidelines of Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University, Amravati,
Department of Mathematics has gone through the process its affiliation as a
Research Centre in Mathematics.
As per the guidelines of Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University, Amravati,
Department of Social science has gone through the process its affiliation as a
Research Centre in Social science.
Dr. Vaishali A. Meshram, Asst. Professor, Department of Environmental Science,
has published “A Text Book of Environmental Pollution” under the Dnyapath
Publication, Amravati.
Prof. Pradip D. Khedkar, Director, Physical Education, has presented a research
paper entitled “Mahavidhyalatil Kheda aani itar paduttar vishyatil vidhyathiche

way, wagan, uchaicha abhyas aani upayyojna”, at the National conference on Self
Employability skills Development in Physical Education and Sports Science held on
13-14 December 2018.
Dr. P.N. Pawade, HOD, Department of Botany has published two books entitled,
“Ornamental Flora of Amravati District” (ISBN No. 978-81-938337-1-1) and “Key
to Ornamental Plants” (978-81-938337-0-4) published with A.K. Publications, New
Delhi.
Dr. Smita H. Behere, Librarian has presented a research paper entitled “Knowledge
Management in Academic Libraries: E-learning Environment” in the National
Conference Emerging Trends in Science held on 1-2 February 2019 at Vidyabharti
Mahavidyalaya Amravati M.S. India.

C. Workshop/Seminar organized
ONE DAY WORKSHOP ON RESEARCH METHODOLOGY AND INTELECTUAL PROPERTY
RIGHT (IPR). FRIDAY, 2ND FEBRUARY 2019.
Objectives
An Art, Commerce and Science College, through Research Committee has
conducted a One Day Workshop on Research Methodology and Intellectual Property Right
(IPR) for the task of creating awareness about Intellectual Property Rights amongst faculty
and post graduate students. During the year (2018-20), the CRC organised a workshop on
Intellectual Property Right.
Inaugural function
The workshop was inaugurated by the hands of Hon. Principal Dr. Rajeshji
Chandanpat. Dr. N.D. Gawande (Coordinator, IQAC), Dr. Sahebraoji Bante (Director,
Narayana Naturopathy and Yoga Science College, Amravati) were the chief guests of the
inaugural function. Introductory speech was delivered by Dr. M.J. Pawar (Coordinator,
College Research Committee). It was followed by the speech of Dr. N.D. Gawande and Dr.
Sahebraoji Bante. Words of thanks were presented by Dr. A.K. Maldhure (Member,
College Research Committee).
Session I
The inaugural function was followed by the talk of Adv. Swapnil Gawande on the topic
“Intellectual Property Right (IPR)”. The first session focused primarily on conceptual discussions
and clarifications on IPR and then the need and significance of patent filling and related processes.
It was significant information for the students. About 121 students have attended the session.
Session II
This session was focused on Research Methodology. A beautiful talk on Research
Methodology was delivered by Dr. S.A. Waghuley (Associate Professor, Department of Physics,
Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University, Amravati).
