Program starts at 7:00 till about 9:30ish. Refreshments will be served. LADY PINK Mural from Art Basil, Miami Mural - Five Toes Lady Pink was born in Ecuador, and raised in NYC. In 1979 she started writing graffiti and soon was well known as the only female capable of competing with the boys in the graffiti subculture. Pink painted subway trains from the years 1979- 1985. As a leading participant in the rise of graffiti-based art, Lady Pink's canvases have entered art collections such as those of the Whitney Museum, the MET in New York City, the Brooklyn Museum and the Groningen Museum of Holland. She continues to create new paintings on canvas that express her unique personal vision. Her other significant contributions to graffiti have made her a cult figure in the hip-hop subculture. ROGER SMITH Zoo - Finished Mural TutDetail Roger Smith has been involved in the street art scene in New York City for 30 years. He was driven to paint from childhood and returned to this following studies of computer programming at Fordham University. His exploits have been documented in various books and srticles such as the Mole People, 1993 by Jennifer Toth, The Source Magazine, The Art of Getting Over, 1999, by Stephen Powers and Broken

Smith is also married to Lady Pink and the couple has been at the forefront of the mural art scene in NYC, their reputation taking them to Europe to paint. They live and continue to work in Gardiner, NY.
